Loved your pics. The little tree in your room is so cute. And may I offer you congrats on your first Dole Whip ! Hope it was an enjoyable experience. I'm enjoying living vicariously through you with your holiday WDW/VWL adventures. Enjoy the rest of your trip !

Two more quick items I wanted to mention. First, they do not have electric mixers in the kitchens, but if you call Mousekeeping they will bring one to you. It was funny, they brought us a brand new mixer still in the box sealed in plastic. Second, Mousekeeping completely missed us yesterday for T&T. The Mousekeeper came to the door around 9:30 wanting to do T&T and I told her we still had people taking showers. She said she would come back later but never did. It was no big deal as we use towels over and over and there are plenty of them, but I did think it odd.

DW and myself just got back from MK and it is a zoo over there. Very, very crowded.

Yes, Merry Christmas WolfPACKfan!! Boy Maria, we can tell you are not an NC State fan!!
Just kidding. Here in NC, we take the college teams very seriously.:lmao:

Merry Christmas WolfpackFan. Keep VWL beautiful for us, we will be there in 10 days!!!

You mentioned buying golf balls. Are you playing golf on this trip? Which courses have you played? I'm always interested in all things golf.

hi, Wolfpakfan, I had forgotten to get in touch with you before our arrival. My wife. DD1, and I are here at VWL for Christmas, having a good time. Still hope we can meet up. We are in rm 5532. Give us a buzz in the room. We are checking out Friday.

Wow - I didn't see this until after we got home. I wonder how many times we passed each other. We were in room 5357. We checked out this morning. Wasn't too bad driving back home. Took us 10 hours. Hope you got back home safely. It's a shame we missed each other.

I didn't get to play this time. But I hope to play on our trip next September. I've never played at WDW, but I love golf and have been wanting to play everytime we go down.

Final update. I think I left off about mid-day yesterday (Christmas Day). We had an absolutely terrific Christmas dinner at WCC. Great turkey, pork loin, beef brisket and chicken. Also had mashed potatoes and dressing. Dessert was yule log. I loved it, DW loved it and DS loved it. DD is very, very picky and basically ate just the mashed potatoes. Go figure :confused3. $33 for mashed potatoes. I held my tongue though. Once they are grown, there is not much you can do, right?

After fully stuffing ourselves (at least three of ourselves), we went back up to our unit. DW and myself decided to head over to MK to see the parade. It was fantastic. As the parade was finishing, DD showed up, so the three of us headed to Epcot. We called DS and told him our plans. He really could care less about CP, but is a big fan of Thursday night's narrator - Edward James Olmos. DS loves Battlestar Gallactica and he wanted to at least see him in person. We were planning on meeting up with him for the 6:30 CP, but at 6:15 he called and said he had just got on the bus at WL (something about falling asleep, etc.). So DW and I went in and saw American Adventure and DD went off on her own. When AA was over we met up with DS who was watching James Olmos. We all then headed back to VWL and then went by Roaring Forks for a late supper. I got the flat bread which I thought was great. DS got a burger and DW got chicken nuggets. I'm not sure DD ever ate, but then she was still full of all those mashed potatoes she had for dinner :rotfl:. (Thank goodness DD knows nothing about these boards, she would kill me for writing all this about her).

So now here is when it really turns magical. If you remember back a few posts of mine, DW loves to collect dolls. She mainly collects Madame Alexander and a few American Girls. Well DD loves to collect dolls also - mainly porcelain Barbee type dolls. Well on Wednesday DW and DD bought three porcelain dolls at MK and had them shipped back to WL. Well we went to pickup the dolls last evening and the boxes were all bashed in. Now, if you know anything about collecting dolls that's a no-no. Just as soon as you taken them out of the box they loose all value and the box needs to be in great condition. Well DD didn't want to cause a ruckus and just went back and told the WL merchandise manager they should be more careful. Well you know what Dad's are for. I went back in and had a little chat with the manager and he was as nice as he could be. He said they would replace all three dolls. He asked what time we were leaving this morning and I said 9:00. He said he would try to get them over night and if not, they would mail them to us at no cost. When we woke up this morning, he had left a message a midnight last night. He said he had gotten two of the three dolls from MK and would stop by the World of Disney at DTD on his way in to work this morning and get the third doll. We went by the shop at 8:30 this morning and he had all three dolls in perfect condition. His name is Jose and he went way beyond the call of duty. What a perfect ending to our perfect Christmas at WDW. We plan on writing a letter of appreciation to him and send copies to as many people as we can at WDW to thank him.

Well that's about it. Today was a long drive, but traffic wasn't too bad. Only saw one accident, somewhere in South Carolina. I hope everyone has enjoyed my little trip report. We had a great trip, but I doubt we will go again Christmas week. DW and I've discussed it and we just like it better when it's just the two of us going in early December.

:santa: Merry Christmas :santa: and thanks for sharing your magical trip with us, Great pictures too. Have a Happy New Year :wizard:

Sounds like you had a great trip. We got back from VWL a couple weeks ago, but it sems like forever. But good news is, we are calling Mon about our trip for next Dec., yea!!!

Oh, one other thing

GO PACK!!!!!

Thanks for sharing your trip, I really enjoyed the report. I understand exactly what you mean about early December. We have been going either the week after Thanksgiving or the first couple of weeks in December for the Christmas festivities the last 11 years and while the crowds have definitely increased, it is still a great time to visit. I am calling today to make a reservation for friends and will be calling for our early December trip around Jan 5th. So glad that everything worked out with the dolls and yes, only at Disney would a CM go out of their way like that. It is great that you'll be sending a note about him. Glad that you have a Merry Christmas at the World:santa: !!!
