I dressed my DD in her Cubs jersey for school today and our W flag is back up. Boy does it look weird to see it flying with the snow in the background.

WGN is also running tribute to Ron. I set the DVR this morning but I think it starts at 10am.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ron Santo at his golf outting the past few years. He was lovely. Always asked me how my A1C was and when it was to close to normal would caution me on sugar lows! So as I just listened to & watched Pat Hughes' eulogy, the thought crossed my mind I wonder if Ronnie's rounding of the bases at Wrigley today will end the Curse of Wrigley! Wouldn't that be the greatest ever!

Pat Hughes's eulogy was wonderful and I laughed and cried at the same time. Summer will never be the same

As a bladder cancer patient who also has diabetes, I really felt his struggle. I am glad that his family is focusing on all the positives in his life!
