We arrived yesterday afternoon after an uneventful trip on the Eurostar and checked into Hotel New York at around 7pm I booked a standard room and we found ourselves on the 8th floor with a lovely room overlooking the rear of the hotel where we can see Space Mountain and the Castle from the window.

The Disney magic has been well and truly sprinkled on us this trip as we have been upgraded to a room with a huge King Sized bed and a sofa and sitting on the table was a bottle of champaign and a box of chocolates. We spent yesterday park hopping to ride the attractions that would be closed for the rest of our trip and watching the parade, Christmas Wishes and Dreams! of Christmas. We were quite easy to spot as we were wearing Mickey Eared Santa Hats and carting around a Duffy and ShellieMay beats who were also wearing their Christmas hats. Last night we ended up in the bar at HNY drinking cocktails while Skyping into a live recording of the Dis After Dark podcast to give a review of our trip so far and of the 'Dream To Live' ice show at the O2 which we attended on Saturday evening. So far an action packed trip!

Sounds fab! Love a view of the castle :thumbsup2 Hope you have a great time :)

Enjoy the rest of your trip:)

Aw sounds wonderful! Congratulations on the upgrade and champagne....I love HNY and have always got some bit of pixie dust on our stays there! maybe they read the DIsboards lol and can see who are really big fans :rotfl:

Enjoy the rest of your trip and I am looking forward t some more live reporting X

Wow, sounds like you are having a right knees up! Was the champagne nice?
Looking forward to hearing more about how yourselves and the bears are getting on :thumbsup2

Yesterday the park was quieter than on Sunday and most rides we went on had wait times of about 10mins. We got to the park at 9.30am and rode the Dumbo then waited 30 mins for Meet Mickey Mouse. We joined the line at 10am and were in and out by 10.40. Picked up our Photo Pass and have been adding ride photos to it.

I rode Indiana Jones as it was its last day of operation as it is now closed for a 5 month refurbishment.

We also did POTC twice and got to sit in the front of the boat second time around.

We had lunch at The Blue Lagoon and dinner at Cafe Mickey.

Phantom Manor suffered a 'Problem Technical' while we're were in the Doom Buggy area and we had to be evacuated via one of the Back Stage areas.

Took advantage if the free afternoon hot drink with a hot chocolate at The Luck Nugget Saloon.

Saw the Christmas Cavalcade, the main parade which stared 20mins late, Christmas Wishes and the last performance of Dreams of Christmas!

We are getting a lot of attention from the CM's due to the bears, but only a few recognise ShellieMay. And it's quite funny when going onto rides and being asked "how many in your group?" and we answer "two" only to be corrected by the CM who replies "four" pointing to Duffy and ShellieMay.

Those CM's who do recognise ShellieMay have a bit of a chat with DW about her.

Won't be in the parks today until after 11am as I have a business meeting the morning with CM's from the Disney Business Solutions team, who I think we're responsible for my hotel up grade.

After an action packed early morning meeting with the CM's from Business Solutions team and a tour around the Convention Centres of HNY and NPBC we finally arrived in the parks today at noon. Crowds levels were very low and we were able to complete all the rides in Fantasyland within an hour. The average ride wait time today was 10 mins.

We did get told off by a CM on 'It's a Small World' as both Duffy and ShellieMay were sitting on our laps and he made an announcement that 'All children and bears must be seated between adults on the boat'.

Lunch was had at Pizzeria Bella Notte, followed by a photo with Duffy and Minnie Mouse. Then a ride on the last steam train around the park that day.

Although the Christmas season had officially ended all the decorations are still up.

This evening Dreams! returned to normal and we watched it from the benches in front of the Fantasyland stage.

Dinner was as the Parkside Diner at HNY, and then we commenced a cocktail tour around the hotel bars, finally returning back to our room at 1.30am.

Glad you're having a fantastic time, it's always so nice to hear of someone receiving some unexpected pixiedust:
