Live Music at Narcoossee's?

So while at WDW last week my husband decided not to go to dinner with us and some friends we were there with (read: ditched me with the kids) saying he was going to stay in the room and catch up on some work. He ended up going to Narcoossee's (weasel! ) and eating at the bar. While there he noticed a lot of electrical outlets in the ceiling above the bar. The bartender told him there used to be a stage where the bar was and live music. It was too loud though so they took it out. Have done a quick search on the web but can't find anything about it so thought I'd come here and ask the experts. So...true or false...
