I thought I'd post a few live updates while we're here. We arrived on Friday (1/11) to beautiful weather. It was 81 degrees and partly cloudy! We flew Southwest from Columbus, OH and the flight left on time and arrived a few minutes early. I was lucky enough to get boarding passes A17-A20 so we had no problem getting on and getting good seats. Using the rental car codes from this board and the free Emerald Aisle membership from MouseSavers I was able to get a 10 day rental for $123.00! We picked up our luggage and then picked out a Toyota Avalon. Nice car - very roomy. There were a LOT of cars available (we arrived at MCO about 2:30PM). I didn't see any minivans but there were lots of SUVs and larger size cars. We're staying off-site at a rental home (what a nice place this is). My kids are loving having their own heated pool. Our first day here we opted to just settle in, unpack, lay in a few groceries and grab a pizza.

Yesterday we went to EPCOT and once again the weather was beautiful (about 80 degrees and partly cloudy). The marathon was going on which made navigating the park a little tricky the first 1.5 hours or so. They way they had it set up, you had to cross the runner's lane at designated crosswalks. There were CMs controlling the flow and you had to wait for a break in runners and then run across. We'd experienced this before so knew what to expect but several people were just having a fit. This one guy next to me was telling his wife he wanted to leave and get his money back. I told him that the runners would be gone in about an hour and not to worry about - YOU'RE ON VACATION! The only bad part was trying to get from the Land Pavilion to Futureworld because you had to cross the runner's lane TWICE. Once the runner's cleared out it was smooth sailing the rest of the day. The crowds were very low and we pretty much walked on to everything. We rode Soarin' first thing and walked right on then got a FastPass and went back later. The longest wait we had all day was about 10 minutes and we did EVERYTHING (except Honey I Shrunk the Audience which I think is kinda lame). We're going back again on Monday so we didn't do too much in World Showcase except ride the Mexico and Norway rides and eat.

Speaking of eating - let me tell ya - I LOVED LE CELLIER! This was our first time eating there and man was it good. I had the mushroom filet and the DW had a filet and sour cream mashed potatoes. My DD & DS are carnivores so they had steak too! We skipped the appetizers because we wanted to save room for some dessert. The wife got the Smores sundae and I got the chocolate mousse which were both delicious. The kids had sundaes and we also shared our desserts. The service was great. I'd highly recommend it and even though it's the slow season they were completely booked so don't forget the ADR!

Since we're spending two days at EPCOT we decided to watch Illuminations on Monday night. We ended up leaving about 6:30PM and we were glad we did because a storm rolled in and by the time we got back to the house it was pouring down rain.

We're heading to AK today and this time everyone has agreed to ride EE (a little pin bribery did the trick with my DD :) ). All I know is that they're calling for one cold week of weather back home so I'm glad I'm here! See ya!
