Live from the Westin Ocean Villas!!!

We traded for this property back in March. We wanted a trade to a couple of different Hawaiian resorts and this one came through in two weeks. When we got here, we found out that we had been switched to the North property. I knew that they were the newer of the two properties, but I was a little afraid because of reviews that I had heard. I have to say that the resort is beautiful. There are a lot of trees and POOLS, which is great. The only downside is that there is an additional price for everything it seems. We are used to other properties where the kids club is included. Here, it is 40 for a half day. That is too much for me. The room is very nice and classic looking. Dark woods and granite. We ended up with a nice view of the courtyard and pool. You can actually see the ocean from our balcony in between the other two hotels.
I just wanted to let everyone know that for 141 points for a 1 bedroom this was a great trade and the staff seems very nice so far. I'll keep you guys updated.

We exchanged 141 points for Oct. 2009 too... I can't wait to go!! Keep us informed as you get more details. I already am quite aware they are as good as Disney at vacuuming out your wallets. Hopefully, wife won't go crazy with amenities.

We just went to the welcoming party, which was nice. They gave away a couple of things and spent some time talking about the place. I will have pictures when we get home. I don't have the cord to connect our camera. Thanks for the well wishes. We plan on trying a couple of restaurants, so I'll let you know what we think.
