Hi All,

I am posting this live from our room at the WDW Swan. We have stayed at the Dolphin three times in the past but this is our first stay at the Swan. We were able to get a great round of the house rate of $159 through DU.

We arrived last night about 11pm and "Joe" the valet was very nice and started the trip off on a great note. We then headed to check in. The woman who checked us in was great.

We are in room 1012. It is a king bed room with a straight on view of the walkway over to the Dolphin and the Dolphin itself. If I look to the right we have a great view of the YC/BC and BW area.

We are heading off to MGM this morning. I will post more then we come back for our afternon break.

If anyone has any questions please post.

Hi Tiffany,
I'm reading all posts about the Swan as we will be staying there for the first time in late August. We also got that great DU rate and that was the deciding factor.
Did you request a King Bed when you made your reservation? I didn't because many times the King Bed rooms are also handicap rooms and I want a bath tub but would love the King Bed because then you have more floor space.
Is your room a standard view? I requested standard view but my confirmation says Lake View. I'm not picky about views but would love a balcony. Do you have a balcony?
Hope you continue to have a great time.

Hi,
I am an SPG perferred business traveler so I did not put in any special requests with my DU agent as my SPG profile has that we perfer a king bed room on a high floor.

We did get a King Bed Room and the bathroom is a regular bathroom with shower an tub. We have a great view of the Dolphin if we look straight out and then the YC/BC and BW if we look to the right.

We do not have a baloncy but the windows are huge so the view is still great.

Thanks so much for your reply to my questions. I have one more. What kind of safety rail is in the bathtub. My husband is not an invalid but he can't sit down in the bath tub. He uses a bath bench here at home but could take a shower if he had something secure to grab hold of. At least I think he could. I would ask for a handicap room but he is dead set against it.

Hi,

I am 5'2" and at my hip level on my right side is a rail that you can hold on to if you needed to while taking a shower.

The Swan is great. It feels less busy than the Dolphin. The beds are great and the size of the rooms are outstanding.
