Thursday 1st April...
...oooooooh my head hurts! well, actually it doesnt..but it really ought to!!!!We laze in bed and book a PS for the GF cafe for breakfast. When Ive recovered a little we wander out to the pool which is actually pretty cold this morning, there is a definite chill in the air. Mind you it is only 8 am! Opt fort he hot tub instead, as I said, its enormous and there's only us in there..its heaven! Like hot bath and the jets are great!
I make good use of the power shower and big fluffy towels after our spa bath. They also supply all manner of little goodies, like hand & body lotion, shampoo, even a little box of cotton buds and cotton wool balls.
Wander around the resort and then over to the cafe for a lovely brekkies. Again, this restaurant is quite adult and very beautiful. The one next door is full of young families but this seems more popular with the more mature tripper.
I have orange juice, coffee, fresh fruit and then the most awesome pancakes ever. 3 enormous thick pancakes stuffed with blueberries and extra blueberries & sauce on the side, plus maple syrup!!!!! YUM!!!!!! My mouth is still watering...these are the best pancakes Ive ever tasted.
Mark had juice & coffee and a hot breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, ham & biscuits which looked good too.
How did we eat after last night? No idea!
Mark's having trouble with very bad blisters on his feet this morning so I leave him to sit in the lobby and rest while I take a look round the shops. I find the perfect little black swim suit (well, not that little!) but hastily put it back when I realise its $90!!! gulp........... I do buy Becky a really soft fluffy Eeyore to take back as shes been so good The CMs in all the shops are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. In the Disney shop a British lady is buying a Princess bedsie lamp, its gorgeous, and they sell all sorts of different things Ive not seen before.
This hotel is really something special, I wish we had more time here, but we 're lucky to have come at all I know. I really hope we can get back some day. I love the villa, its fantastic, and its lovely being with family...but its great to be able to have alittle bit of adult luxury on our own too
Poor Mark is really suffering with his feet now so we call the villa and tell them to go on to MGM without us. We'll have a lazy day at the villa and Becky can choose to go with them or stay with us and perhaps I'll take her to do some shopping later.....guess what she chooses?
...so, the valet collects our car and our bag for us and we sadly leave the GF. More memories for us...and more photos fort he gallery!
Back to the villa where we give Bek her cuddly, then she and I head off down the 192 for a spot of girlie time. We find several bargain shops and buy a couple of tshirts for ridiculour low prices. Becky buys several stickers with very funny sayings on them. A lot of teh shops down here are the same, but they're very cheap anyway. We do find a good surf shop though.
Stop off at taco Bell on the way back as Beckys hungry, she has a quesadilla, which comes with a taco too and a giant soda for a few dollars! great value and very tasty
Back to the villa where rebecca and Stu & Jamie are back having been shopping. Mum & Dad have gone to MGM on their own apparently but are quite happy to do their own thing.
Straight in the pool for a couple of hours, a spot of sunbathing (Beck is straight on the net) . Mark, Stu, Becky and I decide we need more shopping, and as I also need petrol we drive to Walmart after getting petrol.........where we somehow mange to spend nearly $200!!!!!! well, I did buy 3 bikins I suppose.....and some tshirts for kids......and 2 DVDs for Becky (The Adams Family...how appropriate) and lots of other bits......Stop off at McDs for Jamies dinner...thats an experience! A drive thru...oh well another first!
Back to villa again, then when M & D are back we decide to try Lisa's suggestion of Giordano's pizza take away. Stu has bought Pirates of teh Caribbean DVD so we settle down to watch that after Jamies gone to bed. The pizzas are enormous, especially the stuffed crust one!!!!! WEve made the mistake of ordering an assorted family side dish too which includes, shrimp, zucchini, mozzarella sticks and squid! OMG theres so much left over!
Drinking Buds we watch the excellent Pirates film...we all love it, even Mum & Dad, and tired and stuffed we all fall into bed just before midnight
USF tomorrow!!
