Live from the Jan 20 Magic

We made it. We had a couple of glitches when we got here. One of our friends couldn't come because she was sick so we had to juggle rooms. In true Disney style we were whisked through the line with no problems.

It was so exciting being announced on board. A few of us got teary eyed.

We have a Cat 6-6152 in the aft. Nice room with an oversized verandah because its in the back of the boat. A bit noisy ( engine noise) but it doesn't bother me. Its at the end of the hall so there is not foot traffic.

I got up this morning and had a massage. Wonderful! Breakfast at Topsiders.

Well gotta go sit by the pool, will try to post later.

Hey there, this is Tinkified...aka Michelle...unable to join you due to our daughter being hospitalized with dehydration and stomach flu! She is better now 5 days later and 2 days after the start of the cruise...hope your friend is better...I hope you all have a great trip...sorry to have missed the cruise and meeting you all....Thank goodness for trip insurance...We are rebooked on 3/3 but the group isn't as large as yours...less kids too...I hope your friend had insurance...cause if we didn't I think I would have to have been Hospitalized!

Thanks for the live posts. Our best friends and their three daughters are sailing with you. They were supposed to be with us this past September, but couldn't make it, so reading live reports helps us feel a little bit a part of their magical journey.

I'll probably post a whole trip report when I get back but here are some highlights:

Day One: blah blah blah (read post #1)

Day 2:

Spa treatment at 8am. The best. Breakfast at Topsiders. I was in heaven after the spa, but with Bagel w/Lox I could have just died happy right there. Played BINGO with Pikey. Very funny guy but it did drag a bit. Woman next to me won 3 times.

Lunch at Parrot Cay. Then the pool and shopping

Dinner was formal and we all looked very nice. Animators Palate was fun. I liked the show. BTW our servers are Ever Lee and Erwin. We like them very much.

It all went downhill from there. See sports section of your local newspaper. Thats all I have to say about that.

Well onto Day 3....can't wait.

Hi all, I 'm bywheel's sister and the lucky one who has her own cabin (although I hate that Sandy couldn't make it). The weather is fabulous although it is quite windy but still warm. Makes for some rolling. This morning Bywheel (Martha) and I (Kathy) were in the Cove pool and laughed about the waves. Wish you were all here!!
Tomorrow St Maarten and the 12 Metre Regatta for me!!!

Day 3

Its all going by too fast.

We had our character breakfast. I didn't think they went by too fast as some people had posted. We got some great pics.

Sat by the pool all morning. Can anyone say sunburn? Yea baby.

Lunch at Luminiers

Rasul at 2pm.

Did some exploring of the ship, hadn't been to deck 10 yet. Very windy but beautiful.

Dinner at Parrot Cay.

Twice Charmed was excellent.

Today is St Maarten. We have no excursions planned, but we are meeting a friend from home who is on her honeymoon, for lunch.

Hello to a fellow Cape Codder! Enjoy getting that sunburn, It snowed all day here. There is 1-2" on the ground and its really icy out! I cant wait to feel that glorious sun next month. Enjoy the rest of your cruise!

Day 4

We arrived in St Maarten a bit late. Apparently the night before they had to get one of the passengers off because of illness. We were there by 8am anyway.
St Maarten was nice. Had no excursions scheduled so we just did some sightseeing. My sister did the Regatta and loved it.
Beautiful weather. Sunny with a few clouds.
Got back on the boat early and spent the afternoon at the pool. It was nice and quiet. While I was sitting soaking up the sun, I had a brainstorm and walked into the spa and scheduled a decadent seaweed wrap and massage for Thurs. Why not?
Pirate night at Parrot Cay. Not alot of people dressed but we were! Pirates of the Carribean Party was fun. Fireworks were great.

Another beautiful day today in St Thomas. Did some shopping and got a tour of the island. Lunch and pool time for us this afternoon. Dinner at Animators tonight.

Will post later. Time for a Pina Colada

Day 5

The trip is going awfully fast. It seemed it took forever to get here and then BAM its over

St Thomas was nice. Did a bit of jewelry shopping. Took a tour to the top of the mountain with one of the cab drivers. Very beautiful

Sat/Slept by the pool (again)

Dinner at Animators.

Comedy show very funny. The audience member who assisted was a 7-8 year old kid who stole the show.

The ship at night is beautiful. Took lots of photos/video. Read on the verandah under the stars.

Ocean Wrap spa treatment with 1/2 body massage on tap for today.

There was a magician the first show (although he was more of a comedian) and was very funny. (I'll have to get my navigator and get names next post.) the comedians were jugglers maybe wright and haines were the names. I'll check that one too. the show Twice charmed was really good twist on cinderella story. The featured band has been NTwine. they are good, but I haven't seen them much. Just the castoff party. I've been so worn out by night I haven't gone to the clubs yet. Reminder to self only two nights left to check out clubs.... Get with it... all and all we are enjoying our trip.

We really like NTwine - they are very good and fun to watch (lots of energy) - those spa treatments sound wonderful!! We were on a 7 day in December and I cannot believe how many things I did NOT get done!! Have a great rest of your trip! diana
