Live from the first MVMCP!!!!

Great thread! Just finished packing! Leaving tomorrow morning for a quickie cruise on the Dream, then attending MCMVP on 13NOV! Can't wait! Thanks for getting me completely fired up!

:santa: :goodvibes :santa:

Since there aren't any new characters for me, i decided not to do the party this year (the xmas party just isnt the Halloween party for me.) Mickey & Minnie dont even have a new Christmas outfit from last year, and those were boring as it is. :( I love looking at pics though, thanks for the live updates!! I saw a few crowd pics on twitter and it looked pretty packed.

Btw, hkse asking about the princesses, we met them during the second parade during the Halloween party, thinking it wouldn't be as crowded, but the wait was still 50min (and it really was that long!)

I just saw a photo of the gingerbread castle on Facebook so I came here to see if there wer more photos. Nothing yet? or am I missing it?!?!? It looked PHENOMENAL!!!!! I couldn't quite tell but was it projected onto the castle as opposed to built on? It was GORGEOUS!!!!! And yes, I liked the cake-castel too. So there. :goodvibes I want to go JUST to see that castle in person!

In Fantasyland, Cinderella, Prince Charming, and The Tremaines are appearing all together by the skyway. They are not signing autographs.Beauty and the Beast are appearing in Rapunzel's normal meet and greet area.

Wait times for Mickey and Minnie are now 10 minutes and Princesses are 20 minutes.

It's been hectic.

Peter Pan and Wendy are meeting near the castle.

No that's something new and fun! That's a definite "don't miss"!

It really sounds like the plan needs to be to do the princess line later in the evening. I hope others will report back their experiences with that line with what wait times they encounter through the night.

Thanks Mickeyhunter!

No Gaston.

Got Phineaus and Ferb only. Perry was coming out in next set which would have been after 11:30. DD disappointed. Went to get Belle and Beast. Got there at 11:26 and they had closed the line. Me disappointed!

So here's the part that just makes me mad. They won't cut the regular princess line before 7PM park closing (at maybe 6:30) to let those guests clear through. Yet they have NO problem closing character lines at 30 minutes prior to park closing for the party, where folks paid $60 for 5 hours of access. I have a big problem with that.

When you guys get a moment, I'd like to know what you thought of the crowd level last night.

Done Dwarfs, Capt Jack, Princesses, Mickey & Minnie...in position along curb in front of Castle for show, wishes and parade.

Storybook Princesses were a mess...times posted were very wrong. People in front of us in line had 12 minutes posted but it was at 90 when I entered. People behind me saw 60. Took us about 45. Was hardly any wait when we left and early parade was going on. Walked right into Mickey and Minnie. No talkie Mickey.

Castle show great! First time seeing it...they threw in a little Christmas magic!

We plan to watch the 2nd parade so maybe the key will be to get in line for the princesses and Mickey and Minnie at that time. Does that sound right? This will be our first MVMCP so I am learning as I read your reports.
Thanks so much!

You are correct.....that does seem unfair. :guilty:

The castle is made out to look like a gingerbread house only for "The Magic, Memories & You" show it is not built onto the castle. The icicle lights are still the normal holiday castle decoration.

OHHH. Weird, it seems like a very holiday thing to do. Though I LOVE the icicles of course. I can't say that I think of gingerbread houses at any other time but the holidays. Guess I'll get to see it then. Thanks for the info!

Well, hate to break it to you, but on the map it does clearly state that character greetings are from 7:00-11:30! So they are allowed to close the line then, technically before so they are done by 11:30.

We are not planning to go to a party but I have to say, this is really making me rethink it!

Actually, it's not cutting the party line at 11:30 that bothers me. Daytime character meets are NOT like ride lines. It's not cutting the daytime line early that is the problem. That really just makes the party characters in that line unavailable until 7:30 or 7:45 for party guests.

I'm watching the reports. If they don't fix that problem, I'm going to knock "princess line" off our list on a night we're not paying for the party. I'll just enter the line at 6:45. And if I can do that, so can lots of others. And given the popularity of Flynn, I imagine word will get around.

Any photos of the MVMCP shirts? We're here now & headed to party on Sunday!

And how were the crowds around hub & Main Street during Castle projection & Wishes?

I thought the crowd was very low last night, especially compared to the first MNSSHP we attended last year. I thought that crowd was MUCH higher.

Advertised times were until 11:30 for characters so it was not unexpected. I personally believe they should be out until midnight.

They seemed to have a lot of CMs out checking wristbands and they were doing a great job enforcing. People behind me at Capt Jack were told they had to have a wristband.

One point of my contention is Photopass. They had massive lines at 7:30 when I walked down Main to get to Storybook Princesses. Why? Because they were still allowing non-partygoers to get photos. When we were leaving right before midnight, Photopass stations were already closing down, including the closest one to the castle.

This sounds so fun!!! We are going 12/11 and I am pumped! question: If we are doing every Princess character meal, and I do mean EVERY princess:, do we really need to wait in line to see them at the party? Will they be in holiday attire at any of the meals or meet and greets throughout the week? Thanks y'all!

oops-one more...we are doing the party only on the 11th, then a full day at MK on the 13th, we have one unscheduled day later in the week, should we go back to MK or do you think we will have had our fill? My daughter won't want to ride any "big kid" rides, she's more the Dumbo/small world kind of girl...thanks so much!

I'm wondering how long the wait for Cinderella et al was? That is more exciting to me than the Dwarves!

So would it surprise you to know I'm pretty excited about that one too? :yay:

The difference is that at the party they will have their princesses with them. Belle is the only one who will be in different attire. She will be in the red gown shown in my avatar.

We can never get enough of the MK. I think on this trip we'll be there on 6 different days! :dance3: LOL! I hadn't added that up until now. :lmao: But we'll be there as a family a couple days, girls only a couple days, and with girlfriends a couple days.
