LIVE from the Contemporary!

Hi Everyone!

I just thought I would give a quick live report from the Contemporary!
Not that bad so far. Got a great VIEW and check in took only a few minutes. 1 person in line ahead of us. There were people checking out, but really only a handfull of people. We checked in at 11:30 a.m. so we are tickled. The View is breath taking. I don't understand people saying they don't feel very "Disney" here. It's just not like going to a long ago place or to the tropics. We are loving every minute so far.

I'm looking forward to your report! How's the lobby coming along? I checked out last Sunday (12/9) and they were still working on it.

We were there in Oct and I'm curious to know how all the construction is coming along. Also, I would love to hear about the condition of your room and mousekeeping. Have a great time! Wish I was there!

The lobby is coming along pretty good. There are still some black walls up in the middle section blocking construction by the check in area. There was a few Manager type people talking about the furniture and stating that they where not sure it was what they really wanted. We are heading out to take a run around, so I will give you more later.

As for room cleanliness, it was pretty good when we got here. I am a neat freak so there were a few things I would have done, but all in all very clean.

The wind is pretty speedy today, but it cleared out to be BEAUTIFUL!

When I checked out yesterday , they had removed the curtains in the lobby across from check in. They had two huge u-shaped sofas, kind of a cross between brown and grey, and some other chairs and tables. The only area I saw that was still curtained off (other than where the arcade used to be) was between the elevators and the escalators, and they looked like they were close to done with that. I think the lobby is looking good.

Hope the OP has a great time! I wish I were still there!
