hi all! just a quick report...checked in yesterday around 7pm...got room 3114 overlooking the lake and quiet pool...very nice room and yes, the hallway seems very long that first walk down but now we are quite used to it! :rotfl:

the room was very clean...little signs of wear and tear but nothing horrible.. we had to call down 2x for an internet cable so my daughter could get online and stay "connected" ( good thing - otherwise, I couldn't write this)! all the CM's have been friendly and informative to this point. we have a 1 bedroom...lots of room to roam. and a double balcony! a real treat! the coffee maker has a slight leak but that's what paper towels are for. and today we got caught in a heavy downpour at the MK...the dryer came in real handy!! my daughter got a wake-up call today and it delighted her ( even at the tender age of 22)...

went to Wolfgang's last night - traded in my voucher for my AP at Guest Relations...smooth...dinner was good ...also, no long waits for bus so far...longest was 10 minutes ( today - in the rain)

info for you Princess seekers: Toontown, the Princess Room....hint: when it opens at 10am, find out when they will be there and which ones. we waited 1 hour so my daughter could finally meet Aurora ( her favorite)! as there is no guarantee she will be in attendence at the breakfast in Norway...

ok, enough for now, off to check out the Boardwalk and take a dip in the pool...then this evening, we're back to the MK to reride our favorites and see Wishes....

Thanks for the report! Sorry you had a little rain, but it helps with the wildfire conditions for sure. :firefight

What other DVC resorts have you stayed at and how do they compare with BWV??

I love princess seeking in Epcot. We saw Aurora, Belle, and Beast in France with no line/no wait last week. We also saw Mary in UK and Snow in Germany. I've seen Mulan in China.

HAPPY VACATION!!!!!

just back from the MK...saw Wishes for the first time...beautiful!! no more rain ( and yes, it is great for the fire situation here) and hot! went back around 7pm...ate at Harbor House, the tuna sandwich is really good....got Fastpass for Splash Mountain and then for Thunder Mountain....Splash was fun ( sat in the last row - least amount of water) but Thunder was closed due to techincal difficulties.... :sad2:

getting out of the park was a task...never saw so many people in my life ( and I live in NY) !! waited for the bus for forever (25-30 minutes) but the ride back was fun..our driver had the whole bus singing back to the resorts....

going for a dip in the pool to cool off ..then seeing if we can grab a movie....the balcony is awesome and having a full kitchen is nice but I realized I have no desire to cook while I'm on vacation....good for coffee and snacks though....the soundproofing is wonderful...can't hear a thing! and the bed is extremely comfortable....so is the couch....all in all, wonderful so far....except there is no air hockey or skeeball on the boardwalk!! on the plus side, they have an art gallery that is breathtaking.......

Princess breakfast and Epcot tomorrow!

ps/this is our first stay at a DVC ...I'll be in Saratoga in Oct....

update....Princess breakfast in Norway was fantastic!! food was hot and good...the best part? 5 Princess's in attendance....worth every single penny! also rode Soarin, Mission Space and Test Track....even though the park was crowded, lines not too bad and we took advantage of Fast Pass...the flower show has some very pretty displays

spent the afternoon enjoying the main pool...not overly large but plenty of space..my daughter tried out the slide (AAA+), the pool bar is great, drinks excellent and they serve some quick foods...checked out Community Hall, picked up a movie for later, enjoyed the hot tub ( and met some fellow DVC'rs from NJ) and rested in the room..

the walk from here to Epcot was under 10 minutes ...wow!! I may just have to do a small add-on here! now we're off for dinner in Mexico and to travel around the countries....

for a first visit home, I can find no fault....all CM's helpful at the very least and this resort is peaceful, clean and elegant.. checking out tomorrow and heading to Universal for a couple of days - then home..but I'm looking forward to being back in October!
