I'm just happy the ship went past when it did as the cam stopped for the night 7 minutes after this shot was taken.

Thanks for the photo VM!

Well, we are a rockin' and a rollin', literally. The seas are rougher than any of us have experienced before. More than half of our table did not make it through dinner. Not a great first night on the Magic.

During the fire drill, Captain Tom announced that we are sticking to the Western Itinerary, despite TS Gamma. We are heading to our first stop at Castaway Cay. It is windy and raining, hard!

Embarkation was great. The boarding pass system works fine. We arrrived in the parking lot at a few minutes after 10, and only had to wait a few minutes before being directed to the bag drop off. We were among the very first to enter the terminal, and received a boardin pass with the number 2.

As you might have heard, we had special t-shirts made for this cruise. There was a lot of lime green in the terminal!

The embarkation photos are funny, seeing the groups with lime green t-shirts.

Weather was fine for the sail away, a little cloudy, but no rain at that time. We are heading through some rough stuff right now.

We are in Castaway Cay tomorrow, to be followed with a sea day on Monday.

Our server at dinner said that last week's Eastern had some very rough seas too.

Stay tuned for an update tomorrow, have to go find a barf bag.

We just got home from the 11/12 sailing... and it was the roughest cruise I've ever been on. I wanted to kiss the gound in St. Maarten when we finally got there on Tuesday! Good luck and hopefully it will get better - that's what I had to keep telling myself and it eventually was ok! Have fun!

Hello everyone!!!!DW have met a lot of the Dis'ers upon arriving at the terminal and on the ship. We are an hour plus from the safety drill or whatever it's called. I'm just happy to be on the ship and using MY OWN computer. Yes, I just signed up for the 250-minutes wireless plan for $100. DW needs to be in contact with her family daycare home business so we went for the whole thing!!!! .......... This wireless thing is great, at least for us. I like using a computer that I am familiar with. Now I need to go back down to deck 2 to our room and tell DW that it works.

Hello Ratt45, I will be traveling 1/7/6. Can you tells us about their internet "Plans" what different ones do they have, what do you get for how much? I have only read about an $89 plan. Can you do wired in the cabins as to your choice of wireless? I know they have an internet cafe, but I like you would like to use my personal computer. Thanks

Sorry to hear about the rough seas the first night...And I appreciated hearing about embarkation. That is exactly what we will be doing, and it is good to know that everything went smoothly. Have a great day tomorrow at CC!! :teeth:

GORGEOUS photo Andy! Thanks for posting that!

I really hope they have a pleasant day at Castaway Cay today!

Sunshine come through for our Turkey Day gang!!!

I would love to know from anyone on the Thanksgiving cruise if Harry Potter will be showing since it just came out in theaters! Thanks :goodvibes

Haven't heard from the cruisers in a bit, they are probably out busy having too much FUN! :goodvibes

Castaway cay weather was great. I came back to the ship around noon to swim in the pool. Brrr.. the adult pool water was cold, so I went into the hot tub. Took a nice nap on a deck chair and now we are on our way again.

Looking at the weather it looks like TD Gamma is stuck near Grand Cayaman. We may have a wet day of it there.

TTFN! Going to play pictionary. ;)
Cindy on the sea.

Wishing all you Turkey Day cruisers a fanatastic cruise! As an Easter Bunny cruiser from '04, I wish we were on the cruise with you guys! Have a great time! Hope to see some pic's when you return! :earsboy: :boat:

Hey, ya'll!

From the sounds of Willie and Lampskies voices when I spoke with them yesterday on the phone....ya'll are having a magical time! :cheer2: Lampskies was singing to me...."I love rock 'n' roll...." Guess he was practicing for "Ron Bon Jovi" night...ya'll better get photos!!!

Sorry to hear about the rough seas and rain...hope it improves for ya'll!!! :umbrella:

I can't wait to hear about the reactions to that sea of lime green I saw floating past on the twopalms picture Verandahman captured for ya...WOW!! Did ya'll get that convention rate refund yet? :confused3

Well, like I told Willie and Ron...wish we were with ya'll this year...boohoo! But hope that each and everyone of you has the most magical cruise!!! :boat:

Can't wait to hear all about it! :grouphug:

What a difference a day makes! Around 12 AM, the seas calmed down. By this morning, we approached Castaway Cay on smooth, sparkling seas. What a treat to visit Castaway Cay as the first port on a cruise. Like eating dessert first, only better!

The weather was close to perfect for us on Castaway Cay today. Probably in the high 70's, very sunny, and a nice breeze. We rented bikes, and took a ride out to the lookout past the adult beach. There is a new bike path loop out by the runway. Not a huge improvement, but something new to do.

Snorkling conditions were very good. Better than when we visited CC last November. The Mickey Statue is there. It is just in front of the buoy past the ship wreck area, near the life guard stand out in the lagoon.

Because we had to get on our way to Grand Cayman, the all aboard was at 3 pm, and we began sailing at about 3:15. The Little Mermaid was showing at the Dive In movie. The big screen is a very nice addition to the Goofy pool area.

Seas have been calm all afternoon, and are very smooth this evening.

Tomorrow is a sea day. Lots of activities to choose from. Hopefully Captain Tom will keep us in the sun.
