Okay..I lost the thread I started, so here's a new one.

Not so good news today..they are no longer taking pillowcases or T-shirts for autographs. seems they were getting way too many of these and as of this week it has stopped. Bummer. I even asked for just one autograph each on the t-shirts and they wouldn't do it. I was told I had to go to the characters directly (and wait and wait and wait...) sorry, I'm not spending my cruise waiting on lines.

while I'm on the bummers -- there's an awful sewage smell in the atrium. I thought it would go away after the first night but it's still here. I know they did have a pipe break Friday morning down the hall from us on Deck 8 -- right in front of the Roy suite of all places!!! we saw them welding and working on pipes.

but good news...that's as bad as it gets here so far! Tonight was Animator's Palatte. the restaurant, food and service was just fabulous. best meal we've had so far.

We ordered room service lunch today and that was sent up in less than 15 minutes, piping hot.

what else...Capt. said last night was the roughest it gets here on the ship and personally it didn't feel bad to us at all. should be smooth sailing for us now if that's the worst.

tomorrow is St. Martin. I think a lot of people are ready to get off the boat -- but I would have no problem staying here all week! LOL!

my DH and the boys are at the movies now (Hildago). I had to leave it was just tooooo cold!! don't forget, bring a sweater for everyone!! the restaurants and shows can be chilly.

We were located right next to the Roy Suite on the 4/17. I'm SO glad that I'm not there now. Sewage smell, no way. That would be unbearable.

Oh No !,, NO More Pillowcases !! I'll have to sign the pillowcases myself..LOL..(I am kinda a "character" anyhow,,)hehe.. Sounds like your having a wonderful cruise.... Enjoy yourself!

Thanks so much for taking the time to post. That is a BUMMER about the pillow cases!! Oh well... probably too many on the DIS boards got the same idea and it became too overwhelming for the CM's. Things could be worse!!!

Remember - If you smell sewer gas in your stateroom, don't forget to pour a little water into the vent o the floor just under and in back of the commode. That water is the vapor barrier.

Hope things get better for you. How are your servers? You mentioned Sasha on your last post. If he's from Croatia, would you mind asking him if he'll still be there in Nov. We just loved him and would like to request him next time!

IS THERE A MEMORIAL LE DCL PIN??????

We are missing these in our collection and
would love to know the current status of
the above if possible.

The pin cart and the store would have the info,
but you need to usually talk to a Manager to
get the correct info.

We were just on the May 1st eastern. We were able to get pillow cases, guess it's a good thing we opted for that week, cause orginally, we were going to go this week, but my DD is graduating pre-school this week, so we moved it up.

Also, they were having problems with the forward public bathrooms toward the end of our cruise and a few friends also had the sewage smell coming from their stateroom bathrooms on deck 7. Guess they didn't fix everything in dry dock.

I was on the Magic for May 8th and I did not see or smell any signs of bathroom problems. I hope they get that fixed up for you.

I did however attempt to have pillowcases signed and was unsuccessful. Boohoo I was so looking forward to that!!
Those were a couple of gifts I was bringing home for family members....waaah!

To whoever is on the Magic now....If the comedian/ventriloquist is still on board MAKE SURE you catch his adult only show in Rockin' Bar D. It is HYSTERICAL. I laughed so hard. I hate long video tapes of seemingly endless shows, but this is one that I could have watched over and over.

Also, the juggler is the "younger brother" of the "Hill Brothers" that were on the Wonder last November/December. I thought he looked familiar! When he was 1/2 of the Hill Brothers he had no speaking parts....now he's out on his own and is quite impressive!

Have fun. Wish I was there!

p.s. I'd get whiffs of sewage smell here and there. Yuck!
p.p.s. If anyone sees Kerry in the 8-9 yr old group, please tell her that KT from London misses her terribly!

Sasha told us he has been on board for eight months..he has three weeks left and then he is going home. I'll ask if he's returning though!!! He is fabulous. My boys adore him. and Maria is sweet as can be too!!

That younger Hill brother is quite the cutie...we spoke to him on the Magic once when we saw him at the bar on Deck 9. It was during the day and we were at the bar and were commenting to him how great his/his brother's show was.....he said thank you and we chatted for just a moment.

Glad he now has some speaking part and his own show!!!

We chated with the younger Hill brother last week. Told him we had seen the brother act on the Wonder. After we left dh informed me that they weren't actually brothers. WHAT??????? No way! Said it was all for the show. Magic killer. Happened to bump into him again on the last night and I probably embarrassed my dh, but I just HAD to know. Yup, not even related. Really good friends though. Never know what to believe anymore!

Thanks NYDisneyMom. Can't wait to hear if he'll be back. I'll bet you've gained 5 pounds already with all the extras he brings out! My kids had such a great time with him, they actually loved going to dinner for once and they keep his picture up on the fridge now! Hope your trip is getting better.

I was wondering what movies are showing on the Magic right now. We'll be sailing next week and really want to see Shrek 2, but I don't know if they'll play it since it's not a Disney movie.

And unbearable it is. We had a bad sewage smell in our room, and I thought it was a freak thing but OH NO!!! it's happening again. I don't have a verandah. If it happened again at least I would be able to open the door fr air.

Genie Dana...Our smell came from the bathtub area, should I have run the bathtub water and leave it running slow and steady?

We sailed last week on the Magic and had Sasha Sakic as our server for the 4th time....thought this was his last tour but he had decided to come back.....he is leaving in 3 weeks for 8 weeks so we are delighted he will be on the December 4th sailing we will be on again.....have a good time on the Magic now...it goes too fast.....and yes, they were having major problems with the forward rest rooms the last 3 days of the cruise by Beat Street.....
