Hello all!

We are enjoying our last 2 days of vacation. This week has flown by! We will be going home tomorow. I am so happy the sun has come out our last few days.

We arrived and checked in at 10:30 AM on Sunday July 30th. Our site wasn't ready though. So we parked our SUV and pop-up. Then we hopped on the bus and made our way to loop 300. We knew we'd be in this loop, but they won't tell you the site # until it is ready. We checked out the empty sites and found 2 we liked. Good shade and close walk to comfort station. #'s 350 and 317. I called up front, and they said we could have 317 and could move right in. So off we went to get pop-up. We had put our before chihuahua in the kennel before we checked out the loop. The CM's at the Fort Kennel are so very nice. We have left him at 4 different ones, and the Fort is our favorite, mainly because of the CM's.

Hubby is a tractor/trailer driver for Salem Frieght, so I felt hubby would do fine. The loop can be pretty tight. But hubby did great and only did 1 pull up, and that was because he wanted it a bit straighter. He done good!! It took us about an hour to get everything set up. It was fun putting up our decorations and lamp posts. We heard lots of compliments during this week. Thursday night though, our Mickey lamp lost and ear. The rain got to our silicone we used I guess. By the next morning he was totally "earless":scared1:

We then headed for super Wal-Mart for some shopping. I did learn one thing this week. Don't bother with buying breakfast items. We found ourselves getting up and at em, and not stopping to fix breakfast. We mostly would just grab a piece of fruit. Anyway, back to our Wal-Mart trip. All I can say is WOW!! This is one busy store. And stuff was flying off the shelves. Some things they were totally out of. Before we left we stopped at the in store Sonic for a quick bite. Nothing to write home about.

Back to the Fort. We stopped and picked up Paco from the Kennel. Boy was he happy to see us!! We had a snack and watched TV. We went to bed a little after 10PM. We had to get up early the next morning for a tour.

Next, Magic behind the Steam Trains.
Blessings,
Winnie

It really is nice to get the reports! It sounds like your having a good time. I hope we get into the 300 loop when we go.

That's the funniest thing I have read all week, about losing your mickey post ears..:lmao: :lmao: I have the same luck, hehehe, whenever we were there someone had hula-hoops with lights on them making a huge mickey head, they never could get the lights to work, you do all this work at home and then that happens..:rotfl2: Hope you continue to have fun and of course little Paco too.

winnie,
we went to that walmart tonight. OMG, NOBODY knows where anything is in that store cause we're all tourists and i think *I* was the only one speaking ENGLISH! it was mass chaos in there! they do have good prices though!

We are happy with the 300 loop for convenience to bus stop and walking over to settlement area. i would definitely request this loop again. i just love seeing all the dogs walk by all the time. the site across from me, their one dog keeps bolting out their door and running over here. at first he scared me cause i wasn't sure what he'd do or what my golden would do, she's sort of wimpy, but they mostly just sniffed each other, lol.

one thing i've learned from being here, TWO WEEKS is a must! this one week went so fast and i'm so glad we have another week. as it winds down, i will be slipping into PDD (post disney depression), lol.

hope to catch you before you leave!
