Live from DLR Sept 10-17 Day Six
Setting the stage:
Cast Members:
Me: Inga, 42yo, veteran WDW and occasional DLR visitor, from Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada with an 8 day park hopper
DH: 44yo, same as above, Disney 'lov-a" and here for a Microsoft conference (and sneaking out to DLR whenever possible over the conference week!)
Stay: 8 days at the Anaheim Hilton Sept 10-17 2011
DH was at his conference again today so this was the third day on my own! Unfortunately I woke up this morning with a sore throat (how many people have been coughing on my neck all week?). So this will be a quickie report!
Good Things:
Aladdin show - they keep the dialogue pretty current, the Genie is the star of the show. Lots of references to current pop culture
Muppet 3D is one of my favorite things to do! I love all the nuances of this show, as well as the posters before and after...the pre-show is awesome!
Soarin' - singles line...got me on quick!

Well ok I wasn't feeling my best...but that wait at Aladdin show was BRUTAL! They cued us up in our corrals and we waited, and waited and waited, screaming kids, I held myself up by leaning on the crowd dividers, I thought I was going down!
I was wanting to play some of the games in Paradise Pier...bought a card and everything...but of course no one else to play against so couldn't play most of the games. I was pretty sure I got some dirty looks from parents when I headed towards a game and their kids were going to play...not the most welcoming. I can understand that having a 42 year old adult does not bode well for their child winning a prize. So I opted for the fishing well...solo activity...it felt a little desperate. Left without spending all of my card...definitely something you need to do with a partner or a crowd!
Ice cream mickey head bar - usually exceptional, but I think my taste buds are off...not the mickey head bar's fault!!
Great 'in the room' meal at the Hilton...the food here is really great!
Going to take a day off tomorrow (Friday) as I have hit the Disney wall
