Hello all. I don't know if anyone else has posted or not. We ended up leaving the port late because of late flights. The seas are rocky at night, more so than usual. Key West was on the chilly side but still beautiful. The day at sea started out warm and sunny but by early afternoon we had bad winds and clouds. Not as warm as I would like but it is warmer than back home in Iowa.
Today we are at Grand Cayman. Third time is a charm-we hope. We have been here twice before and never have been able to get off onto the island. We just found out our excursion to Stingray City was cancelled due to the weather!!! I couldn't believe it. The tenders are still running so we will at least get on the island. For you football fans, the bowl games are all on in Diversions so if you are thinking about a New Year's Eve cruise next don't worry, you will be able to watch the bowls. Happy Holidays to all. Kathy

Kathy, sorry about Stingray City but if it's too rough (or they're expecting bad weather later) then you probably wouldn't enjoy the trip anyway. Seasickness is way worse on small boats.

Sending some Weather Pixie Dust your way.

Kathy...what is the atmosphere with the CM's....any talk of how the disaster in southern aisa is affecting them??? It was such a tragedy and I know many of the CM's are from that area of the world. Thanks and have a great trip!!

Hello all, we are back. Yes, the cast members are upset with the disater in southern asia. Kathy

Hi all!

We just returned today also. As a former New England resident but now a Florida resident (19 months) it was a little cooler than we thought it would be but I think thats because we have acclimated to the warmer climate.

We had an excursion planned through Nativeway for stingray city, snorkel, and Rum Pointe on Grand Caymen but due to rough seas we were advised that it would be very rough for our kids and although they were going on with the excursion with a group of adults they reccommended that we pass. Which we did! We took a cab to 7 mile beach then back to the pier and had lunch at Breeze,s and did some shopping.

Then, on Cozumel, we headed out on the ferry to the Tulum Ruins excursion and the swells going over to Playa Del Carmen were at least 6-8 ft. :boat: and my DW and DS, along with many others got seasick :guilty: . My wife was so sick, even with the patch that we could not continue. My DD and I were so busy caring for DW and DS that we did not get sick. Then we had to get them back on the ferry to get back to Cozumel! My DW wanted me to find an airport so she could fly back to Cozumel! She did not want to get back on that ferry! But she did and she did, and DS did, get sick again!

But they were both real troopers and after a short walk and a 4 caret tennis bracelet :smooth: my wife was fine :cloud9: !!! Funny how shopping will take your mind of all your ill's!!

Great New Years Eve parties on the Magic along with a good day at CC and the magic of being on the Magic and the trip was great.
