We checked in last Friday and have already had out full cleaning on day 4. They had finished before we got back from TL a bit past 11AM. Room was in good shape and we have a view of the fireworks from Epcot. We're in the short wing that has the stairwell door near the sidewalk between BCV and BC (near the Marketplace). Speaking of the Marketplace, I was disappointed with the flavors of Gellatto. No lemon or vanilla. Just chocolate, raspberry, choc chip and a few others.

We saw Art on the day we checked in.

We ate over at SSR Artist's Palette on Sun for lunch. We had been over at Disney Studios (Star Wars Weekend) and it was mobbed. Even AP was busier than we had seen before.

At a late lunch over at Marakesh yesterday (something I didn't think I would do) and had a surprisingly good lunch. Shiskabob was excellent as was the Bastilla. Our son had the chicken kabob and my husband had the roast lamb. Tonight we have Le Cellier, looking forward to that. Noticed that that Fountainview Cafe was closed right now. So we got some Napoleons at the Bakery at France. Those were good.

TL was not so crowded on Sat (Trop Storm Barry was making it's way through FL), but much more so on Mon. We got there at 8AM for EMH and left about 11AM. Wall to wall people in the wave pool, lazy river and slides.

AK was not so crowded for EMH last night, but we left early. Soarin' was great this AM, but only one side was working when the park opened. Luckily they got it working within about 10-15 minutes, so we didn't have a 65 min wait like they were announcing. Only 20. There was even a line for Living with the Land. Clamshells had a huge line, so we didn't do those. Even M:S had a long line - first time we've seen that.

We might do Welcome Home Wednesday tomorrow.

Thanks for the live action updates, Deb & Bill!

By the way, check in on Fri was a breeze. We arrived about 1PM and had no wait at all. Donna was very pleasant and we had a nice visit while we checked in. Our room was ready so we moved right in.

:thumbsup2 Glad to hear things a good at BCV. I can't believe I will be there in less than a week!!!:thumbsup2

We had a marvelous dinner at Le Cellier. Patrick was a terrific server and he gave us some champagne to celebrate our anniversary (25th). The 7 oz filet was excellent. Cheese soup was the same as usual - wonderful. Patrick gave us extra pretzel bread to take back to the villa with us.

He told us that they had changed the menu a bit. The creme brulet now has both maple brulet and vanilla brulet in one dish (separated by a small ridge in the dish). I had the sorbet - one small scoop of peach with strawberry sauce and one scoop of raspberry with raspberry sauce. Great way to finish off the meal.

Thanks for the live updates! I wish we were there! Have a great time :) !

What size villa do you have, and how is the weather?

We're in a one bedroom lockoff. Weather has been great since we left home on May 26 except for last Friday (Jun 1) and Sat (Jun 2) when Trop Storm Barry decided to rain on FL. Even so, we only had a bit of rain (forgot the ponchos in the room and decided not to buy more). The weather kept the crowd down at Typhoon Lagoon on Sat. Temp is about 90 during the day with 100% humidity in the morning and close to that the rest of the day.

Supposed to be some rain the rest of the week - 20-40%, but we figure that will be the daily afternoon rainstorm.

Happy 25th, Deb and Bill!:cloud9:

I love reading live reports from the resorts. Have a great rest of your trip. Oh, how are the love bugs this week?

Not nearly as bad as early last week. I think they will be gone soon.

Other than being totally jealous, I am glad to hear you are having a great trip so far!

Happy Anniversary! :cheer2:

Thanks for the updates. Some friends are there for the first time ever-they have a 5YO DD. Am very curious how crowds and weather have been. They claimed to be early risers and would open the parks so I think it is going fine. They also thought they could rest and do a night show but I am not sure that is happening. They also did the DP with no ressies just hoping to stop at places (against my recommendations by the way). Thanks and have fun.

We will be at BCV in 2 weeks.:thumbsup2

I am VERY jealous....I am really having BCV withdrawals right now!!!

But...HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

Thanks for the live updates! Sounds like you're having a great time and your anniversary dinner certainly sounds like it was wonderful!

Sounds like you are having a wonderful silver anniversary trip! Thanks so much for the live updates from BCV. I'm really enjoying reading them.
Happy Anniversary!

We just got home. It was a marvelous vacation. Crowds got bad every day around noon. We did TL three times and BB once (nothing to do at BB except slides and once they get lines, it's time to go) and the crowds were bad by 11AM or noon. If you go to the water parks in the summer, you must take advantage of EMH in the morning. All week long, Channel 19 (which has the daily info for the theme parks, etc), had the water parks opening at 10AM and EMH (daily) starting at 9AM. The parks really opened at 9AM with EMH at 8AM, so we were there to open the parks every day. My husband and son did Crush and Gusher over and over, as well as all the other slides. The wave pool doesn't open right away because of surfing lessons, but I was the first one in the lazy river at least three times out of four.

Lesson here: Know your park hours and EMH times. They do have a sheet available that they give you when you go to a theme park for EMH that has the schedule for the week on it.

We had a great stay at BCV and our next stay will be OKW in Nov.

By the way, the king sized bed was wonderful at BCV, better than the last time we stayed there (pillow top mattress). I just wish they would get king sized pillows instead of putting four standard pillows on the bed.

I was worried that we would hear the elevator all night long since our bedroom wall backed up to the elevator shaft. But there was not a sound. Only thing we heard at night (once) was someone filling their jacuzzi tub at 1AM.

The new sleeper sofa is more comfortable to sleep, but hard as a rock to sit on. I used the chair or watched TV in the bedroom most of the time.

We did take advantage of nap time nearly every day. And I love having the washer and dryer. We had been at Marco Island for five nights before coming to BCV, so we had a bunch of dirty laundry. I had it all done before we went to bed that first night.

Housekeepers did a towel animal class in the Breezeway on Wed or Thursday. We had one in our entry way when we arrived and left it for the next guests.

We never waited longer than 10 minutes for a bus. Many times it arrived moments after we did. Yacht and Beach shared a bus most of the time. Occasionally, they threw all the Epcot resorts into one bus, but not often.

SAB got closed several times for lightning and bad weather. It was amazing to hear people grumbling about not being able to go into the pool when in the near distance you could see big bolts of lightning and hear the thunder nearly immediately. The lifeguards did a good job of keeping people out of the pool area during those times. They were issuing wrist bands and checking room IDs.

I was disappointed in the Gelato available at the Marketplace. My husband got some a few times, though.

When we left yesterday morning, we didn't get an express checkout envelope on our door. So I had to get a listing from the front desk. No wait, but just a bit inconvenient. I guess, though, it is safer than having your info hanging on your door.

Also, no mystery call at 8AM either. We've never gotten this, so I'm amazed that others have. We called housekeeping at 9:30 when we checked out to let them know that they could clean the room for the next guest.

Oh, well, back to work in the morning. Got to pay the bill for all those shirts my husband bought.
