Hello from a now sunny Florida!

I will try and do this as a live trip report but no promises for an update very day!

We arrived yesterday night after a somewhat eventful journey. We were on the VS27 and things looked good when we pushed back only a few minutes late and we were expecting to land on time.

Flight was OK few bumps but nothing major. Then we just off the Florida coast and we start circling over the Atlantic. The captain had said he expected us on the ground at 15.30 well that came and went and about 20 minutes later we come in over land and mak turns that was defiantly a final approach but the area looked really unfamiliar. Then about 2 mins before landing the FSM come on and says th captain has just informed her we are landing at Sanford :scared1: and to say seated on landing and await further instructions.

The short story according to the captain was that MCO was closed due to weather and we were running out of fuel with no re-opening time we had to divert. We got re-fuelled and paperwork was filed then the weather closed in and we were trapped at SFB! Eventually we got out and made the 8 minute flight to MCO  landing 2 hours late.

Anyway the day got better and we were through MCO and in our hire car in 30 minutes. Still rainy all the way till we got off the 417. Arrived at BCV and decided to valet park and use Bell services as we were in a hurry to get in as DD was getting tired. Checked in and got a nice 2nd floor room. Loving the one bedroom villa

Ended the day in Epcot :goodvibes

Will post the next update later.

Wow! That's pretty dramatic by any standards! Glad you finally made it and you're able to start your holiday, but I think I'd have been keen to get out at Sanford! :thumbsup2

glad to hear it's back to being sunny Florida. An eventful start but pleased that you arrived safe and sound, albeit a little bit late.

Glad to hear you arrived safe and sound, eventually!!!

Hope you have a great holiday :goodvibes

Ali :goodvibes

Have a great trip Tracy, Are you going to the shuttle launch?

Glad you have arrived safely Tracey, albeit with an unusal detour.
Looking forward to further updates :thumbsup2

Hopefully a quick update as we are up at 4am to drive out to KSC for the shuttle launch - we have fingers crossed it goes tomorrow as I am not sure how many starts that early I could cope with!

Last night carried on pretty much as the day had with storms around 4am and it's the first time Chloe had heard thunder since she was 15 months old and got scared. Ended up getting up at 5.30 as we were all awake!

Did mean that we went and collected her new stroller from the yacht club business centre (I had ordered it online and had delivered here as it was so much cheaper and I love  it so much - it's a City mini and they are perfect in the parks), got breakfast and made rope drop with time to spare and be front of the rope so we were the first family in to the character spot. This was so good - we got (or rather Chloe) had her photo taken with all of the fab 5. Seeing her smile makes it worth every penny we spend to bring her :cloud9:

Our day was rather boring there after - we had to queue to meet the fairies as they are going away after today (except Tinkerbell) and then we looked round the Flower & Garden stuff while DD napped.

Had lunch at LeCellier and my filet was melt in you mouth tender - it really was good.

This afternoon we swam at Stomalong bay. Nice pool but very busy. Then we have just chilled and took a walk to the Dolphin to grab a quick dinner at Picabu. Nice food & 20% DVC discount :thumbsup2

PS I will try to post some pictures later in the week however the Internet connection here in so slow!

Another quick update as I am shattered!

Alarm woke us at 4am to get up and drive to KSC for the shuttle launch - I had managed to get some tickets off a member of another site. It turned out to be ideal for us as Chloe is only 2 we could let her play and Run around with other children on the playground whilst waiting.

The launch was amazing and it actually made me cry! It was a shame the clouds were moving in as we only got to see it for a few seconds but it is still something I will never forget. (Wayne they are expecting the next launch early July according to what was said today)

After we decided to head back to Orlando stopping at the Outlets (bought nothing  ) and then Publix to get some subs for lunch.

This afternoon we headed over to Seaworld to take DD on Shamu's coaster. We rode 4 times back to back as there was no queue! She loved Goofy's Barnstormer last year and with that being closed and her not quite making 40" we will be making the most of our Seaworld APs so she gets her thrill ride fill!

Finished the day with a walk round the lake past BW and it was so relaxing :goodvibes

Early night again as we have a 7.30 :scared1: breakfast at Cape May.

Wouldl love some photos if you have any!!!

Staying at BCV mid August! Love, love Stormalong Bay! Can't wait!

Were you pleased with the condition of BCV? Hope so!:thumbsup2

Hope you are enjoying your trip!:cool1:

Glad you got to see a launch, shame Chloe is so young, something an older child would remember for life.

I watched it live on Nasa TV, far better than TV coverage here.
Enjoy breakfast:goodvibes

oh my - what an incredible arrival!!!
i can imagine how frustrated everyone on the plane was...
so near, but yet so far...
well you have that story to tell your grandkids!!!

how wonderful that you were able to see the launch!! in all our visits, not one launch every went as scheduled, so never saw one....

looking forward to your pictures!!! thanks for taking the time to take us along on your holiday!!

Glad you got to see the shuttle launch :cool1: I watched one from the Balcony of Pop Century and that was really good even though it was tiny in the distance :thumbsup2

Hi, glad to hear you are having a great time :thumbsup2 Shame about the disruption in getting there, but at least you are there now :goodvibes I would love to see a shuttle launch but I suppose ill have to make do with the recordings. Looking forward to your next update popcorn::

Thanks for all the upadates glad you got to see the shuttle.

We had tickets on our trip when DD was 22 months - unfortunately it was postponed a few times and we had to leave before it went up.

Enjoying your report - what a detour - shame they didn't bus you on to Orlando airport rather than waiting the 2 hours :thumbsup2

I have always fancied BCV so would love some pictures and your thoughts on the villa. Some day I plan to stay there.........

I too would love to see some photos as were are booked there for 2 nights in September (am hoping this will turn into 14 nights in 2012 :rotfl2:)

Sounds like you are having a lovely time now. I love the BCV - its a great resort and I can't wait to get back there in a few weeks time.
How lucky for you to see a shuttle launch. We managed one 2 years ago after years of trying and it was amazing. Hope to catch the last one in July.
Look forward to your next update:thumbsup2

Sorry no update yesterday.

Yesterday morning we started the day at Cape May Cafe. Very nice food but wouldn't bother unless we were staying the area.

After breakfast we walked to DHS and arrived around 9.30 and headed for Story which had a posted wait of 40 mins but ended up being about 20. Did a few bits at the studios leaving around lunchtime. Took th boat back to BC and grabbed a snack for lunch as we had dinner booked for Teppan Edo.

Spent the afternoon packing in preparation for our move today to BLT.

In the evening we headed into Epcot and had dinner at Teppan Edo. Was nice but not quite as good at last year. After dinner we headed for France and the Owners locker wine evening. Had a really fun evening chatting to 3 lovely couple including one from Yorkshire!

We decided it was time to leave when they started cleaning up around us!!

For those that want photos they will be posted but I am using the iPad so it may not be until I get home.

Today we got up and packed the last bits, loaded the car and drove over to BLT. Check in was quick, stored the suitcases with Bell services and headed into Magic Kingdom.

Got a call just before 12 to say our room was ready so we had lunch rode the TTA and Buzz and headed back to get settled into our new room. We had a 1 bedroom standard view and when I got the room number I knew it was going to be MK view as well. We are on the second floor with a great view of the castle.

Anyway it's one of those trips - got to room and keys wouldn't work. Ok head down back to the front desk. The CM didn't know why and did something then got a supervisor. They messed around a bit longer and then ended up getting a second supervisor who sorted it out. They have cancelled and rebooked us and now we don't have DVC on our cards and our points are all wrong. So I have another trip to the front desk to look forward to.

Dinner at Kona tonight before Wishes.

Thanks for the update - you are obviously busy having a good time over there:thumbsup2

We just got an OL but haven't yet been to one of their evenings - can I just ask if they cater for children and can you watch illuminations from there?

Hope you get your points sorted and enjoy your stay at BLT
