Live From AKV!

We arrived yesterday around noon. Had a few issues with check in, nothing major, funny really.

We are in a 1BR, #5030. A slightly obstructed view of the pool, and a clear view of EE in the distance. Enjoyed a nice dinner at Jiko last night.

Today we are off to Hollywood Studios, the Braves game, and then MK tonight.

Change of plans, we are good at that!

We started our day with our run at about 5:30, showered, and then went to DTD, the Braves Game, and swimming. This looks to be one of our limited, (if at all) Park trips. We do this often, on average 2 of our 5-7 trips each year.

Very relaxing slow paced day. The Weather was wonderful.

We do plan on visiting both Epcot and MK, tomorrow, maybe, probably, well who knows!??!??!?

We love AKL/AKV and one of our concerns when we stay here has always been the ability to run.

Yesterday and today, we took a left out of the Resort, turned right down Sherbert Road and looped back. (I think it is Sherbert) Really not a bad run, not as scenic as the BC/YC/BW Loop or the POLY to GF route, but not bad.

It is early enough to not be congested.

That's nice to know. Do you run in the road or is there a pathway?
I think it's Sherberth Rd., we take it to go get groceries.

Hello All,

Thanks for the well wishes. Went to Epcot this morning. Nice pace, did Soarin twice, SE, TT, and had lunch at Tutto Italia.

This is our first time at Tutto. Very nice attentive service and the meal was very, very tasty.

We are now back at AKV. Going to the pool and if we feel like it, over to MK tonight. If not, we will just relax here all night.

A few answers:
BCV23: We've not checked on Kidani Village, but will attempt to do so.
SamSam: Yes, you are right it is Sherberth Road. I left out the "h". We run on the road here, no path/sidewalk that we saw.

One note, I've been riding Disney Buses since 1971, and we had the fastest driver I've ever seen from AKV to Epcot. He was on a MISSION!

First, thanks for the live report! I look forward to more details. One question: Where did you run at AKV? DW and i like to take a brisk 30 minute walk every day, but we are concerned that there is no place to do that at AKV.

Also, how is the room itself?

The course to run is of concern for us at AKL/AKV.

The past two mornings we exited the resort, turning left. We then go down to Sherberth road and turn right. From there we run down and loop back on the same course.
There is no path or sidewalk. We start at about 5:30 a.m. so there is very little traffic.

For a power walk, I think I would stay within the resort and walk the perimeter of the parking area. Not really visually nice, but safer.

The room is fine, very clean, nice view, and our balcony runs the length of Villa. Housekeeping has been sporadic. Everyday there is a different staple missing. Paper towels, towels, detergent, soap, dish detergent, usually more than one.

Just curious as I have a 2 bedroom standard view booked for Dec (and sooo excited about it)
