Live BWV Webcam!!

Ahhhhhhhhhh My BoardWalk fix. Only 15.5 weeks to go.

Thanks so much - can't wait to see if you are up and running in the am - will just sit back with my coffee and pretend I'm there.

DH and I are here at BWV (Boardwalk view room 4011) enjoying the start of our trip and anticipating the press event later in the week. We brought our laptop and webcam and have hooked up the high speed connection to bring you all the second annual Live Boardwalk Webcam!!!

The camera updates every minute and, barring any technical difficulties, will be up pretty much 24/7 until we have to disconnect for the last time this coming Saturday morning. We have to refresh the 24-hour connection every morning about 7:30 am, so there may be some downtime around that time each day, but hopefully not too long.

Now, for the address -- enjoy!! http://www.tivogirl.com/bwvcam/

Just left the boardwalk yesterday.. room 4089.. one day back and I cant wait to go back in dec.. Thanks .Seems like I never left.

Sorry, HUGE thunderstorm right during Illuminations, even hard for us to see from the balcony...hopefully better the next few nights.

AWESOME!
Wish I found it before 11pm at night...it's dark..but I see the twinkling lights. I'm looking forward to checking it again in the morning. I can't wait until my next trip in August!

Thank you for the Web Cam again this year! Just left WDW this past Saturday. This helps to keep the memories alive! :sunny:

Sigh! Great picture, but so sad...it's been way too long since we've been there to see it ourselves. Hoping to make it in January if all goes well. Take care of it for us until then! Thanks for the memories... :wave2:

Just for a change - since you really can't see too much activity this close - I pointed it a little higher. This should help catch more of Illuminations tonight. Tomorrow we will point it across the lake to the Beach Club, probably won't be able to see too much, but it will be a different view and good to those of you who call that home.

I should get some kind of geek award - last night a few seconds after 9:00 PM, I started the Illuminations music from my PC, while wacthing the webcam.

It worked perfectly! It was right in sync.

Thanks for sharing the view. I'll have to remember to check out the view tonight.

Is it dark at 6:59? Or just a storm.

Thank you Kim for the view across the lake. Just having my 2nd cup of coffee and enjoying the view.

Hope you are having a wonderful vacation!

Thanks Kim for the live view ! Unfortunately it's been working fine until today for me. I can't seem to refresh it past 7:09 am today ? :confused3 Might just be my computer----I'll try emptying the cookies and temp files.
It does look a little cloudy/dismal weather wise on the cam. Our local Philly FOX tv news team was live in WDW this morning (in the AK to be exact) to talk about the 50th anniversary celebrations and it looked very overcast and a little rainy in Orlando ? This was about 7:45 am I was watching.
Have a great time in WDW Kim !

I forgot to post over here and warn you guys about the outage (I posted in the thread on the Theme Parks board). We had a press event this morning that was going to overlap our "refresh" time for our internet connection. When you sign up, it goes for 24 consecutive hours from that time. DH did it a little late yesterday, so our refresh time was about 9 and we weren't here due to the event. Then the event got delayed, so it ended up being even later than we expected. As soon as we returned, we logged back in and got it up. The good news is, we should be able to leave it up while we go to EMH at AK tomorrow, since the connection will be up until check-out time. Hopefully we'll be able to leave it on until about 11 tomorrow morning! Enjoy!

The boats...the sky...

Thank you!!

I work for a major newspaper and we coincided our annual May trip with the big 50th press event this year. WDW does several of these when they have ride and park openings or launch major promotions or events. They typically involve four or five organized events (usually in parks closed to the public for the evening) over a two or three day period. It's been fun, as usual, but frankly I'm glad the organized events are over and I can get back to finishing up my vacation!
