LIVE at BLT

We decided to check out BLT for a night prior to today's Disney cruise. It is our first visit to this resort. Here are my thoughts......

1. We arrived just in time to grab a bite at the Contemporary quick service (decent) and see the fireworks from the bridge connecting the two buildings (nice!).

2. I am not crazy about the theme, or lack thereof. It is nice but doesn't feel particularly Disney to me.

3. Every cast member has been great.

4. We loved room service efor breakfast.

5. Our view of the pool and Bay Lake is great. I was briefly horrified when I glanced over at another room and saw a naked person standing there. The Nudist moved away from the window quickly.

6. I would stay here again. Not my favorite, but no complaints.

7. One other thing.....the shower had some power. It was as good as a massage.

Wow. DS, DDIL and DGS stayed there Monday night to try BLT before checking into SSR. They both felt exactly how you did right down to the room service breakfast. They loved being so close to MK but really love the laid back relaxing feel of SSR.

Glad you are having a good trip. We are haviong two nights in BLT at the end of our 12 day stay at AKV Jambo House.

OMG. Thanks for the laugh! I am sitting here reading threads. Everyone is in bed sound asleep. When I read this, I laughed out loud!

Thanks for the info. We haven't tried BLT yet, but given that I'm not a huge fan of contemporary furniture and I prefer condo-style resorts, my guess is that BLT will fall lower on my "DVC list." But, I thought I wouldn't like BCV, and much to my surprise, it's one of my favorites! I look forward to trying BLT on one of our next visits!

you should have asked for an even numbered room.

then you would be on the outside not the inside.

did not like my one visit to the inside - my view was not quite as alarming as yours - but looking into other rooms is not high on my list.

besides you can walk to the MK.....

Now that just made my afternoon. Thanks for the laugh.

I do have to share my story about our stay in September. We were on the balcony watching the fireworks and I glanced over to my right and our neighbor was standing in his tighty whitey's, not a pretty picture...... And, he never went back in....... ugghhh.
