I have never used these before, but are they pretty effective when your toddler gets in water?

My sister has used them on her youngest and they held in the poop. I don't know what it is about the pool water but it always made her go and it was so messy. It could be the water that they take it while playing in the pool. My DD hasn't graced me with that yet. She's not that fond of a pool.

I've used them for all three children and had no problems with leaks. Just make sure you know how much your child weighs so that you purchase the correct size. Also, they fit SNUG!

also they are only used to hold poop, not urine, thats how they get them not to be bulky. So dont put them on too early and expect to stay dry, the pee goes right thru. I knew a lady who changed her daughter at home for swimming lessons and couldnt understand how come every time she got too swimming that her daughter and her carseat was soaked. we told her why and from that day one, she changed her when she got there and hasnt had a problem since.

Tigger1 is right. I used to run a swim school amd they do not hold potty. Make sure you pu tit on the child at the pool not in your room.

I prefer the swim suit/diaper they sell at Target. They are swim trunks (or bottoms for girls) with a very strong but strechable plastic liner on the inside. They are very cute and seem to hold stuff in a little better. Theay also come with a matching t shirt. The only downside is you get one for between $12-$15 so they aren't made to be disposable. They are very easy to wash out though so if you don't mind washing them out you can put them back on the child if they want to keep swimming.

I've used both the little swimmers and the ones that they sell at Target. They do hold the poop in but nothing else. They are worth the $ IMO. Better than a diaper at the beach or pool

May sound like a no brainer, but remember that the sides tear to take them off. I've had friends complain that they are hard to get off, not realizing that you are supposed to tear them! I use them under a plastic swim diaper at the YMCA (plastic pants required) because it is so easy to throw them away. Cleaning plastic pants is not my idea of a fun vacation activity!

I have used Little Swimmers for 2 of my children. They are totally wonderful and totally worth the $$$. They are so much better then a diaper because they don't hold liquid at all. HTH and hope you enjoy your vacation!~

Little swimmers are a moms best friend. No sagging down to the knees diapers or messy plastic pants. The do not hold in urine like pp said so wherever your child will be swimming, put them on right before. Also buy a good stock of them in the beginning of the season. At the end of last summer I could not find them anywhere. I called store to store & no one had them in stock & were not getting any more in. Florida probably has them year round though because of the milder temps & the tourist type areas probably keep them stocked too.

I've used them with all of my kids, and they are definitely worth the money, IMO. They make life so much easier. I do wish they'd make them in a smaller size, though.

It wasn't until #3 that I learned (the hard way) that they don't hold liquid like a diaper.
