Little ones on a 3 hr. flight

As far as the Benadryl and Dramamine recommendations, be forewarned. With little ones, the medicine can have the opposite effect and there is no way to predict it. Two of my kids get sleepy when they have used this in the past, the other one bounces off the walls! Trust me, you do NOT want to have a normally active child hopped up on Benadryl for a 3 hour flight. It feels more like 300 hours!

If you decide to use the meds, I'd try it out before the flight. You could be saving your sanity!

Thanks for that tip :)

Hello, The first time I flew with my daughter (singl mom) my youngest was 3. Before we left on the trip I put together a suprise bag for each of them. I included the portable DVD Player, Coloring Books with Crayons, Not Play-Doh but that mushy beeded stuff and some snacks. Also for the youngest I put in some disney princess figurines. The deal was they did not get the bag until we got on the air craft. With the DVD Player I had purchased one of the new disney movies. After we got on the air craft and took off they were the best kids on the whole air craft. I did put drops in ears for ear pain before we took off and I think that helped too. I think the trick was not giving them the bags until we were on the air craft. They could not wait to get the bags. I hope this helps. You really should go to WDW. They will just love it. It is quite simple and organized and everyone including Dad will have a good time. :wizard: Pixie Dust for your flight.
