Not sure the policy about posting the same thing on different forums, sorry if this is not allowed. Not sure how many people look at all the different forums.

If anyone goes next week and tries this out, I would be curious for a post to see how crowded Fantasyland was...

I just found this, it seems you just have to be a guest, I don't think your kids need to be a certain age or even that you need to have kids.

LITTLE ONES MAGIC HOUR

Beginning in August, guests staying at a WDW resort, Swan/Dolphin, Shades of Green, and the Hilton in the WDW Resort will be able to enjoy select attractions in Fantasyland one hour prior to the opening time for the Magic Kingdom.

Sundays: 8/13, 8/20, 8/27, 9/3, 9/10, 9/17, 9/24

Wednesdays: 8/16, 8/23, 8/30, 9/6, 9/13, 9/20, 9/27

Fridays: 8/18, 8/25, 9/1, 9/8, 9/15, 9/22, 9/29

It is not known if the Little Ones Magic Hour will be extended beyond August/September. A valid theme park ticket and Resort ID will be required.

I don't understand what you are saying. Are you informing us of the EMH for Little One's Magical Beginnings or are you saying that you could take advantage of the EMH for Little One's Magical Beginnings even if you don't have little ones?

I think that anyone who wishes to take advantage of EMH for Little One's and DOESN'T have little ones should be ashamed of themselves. Don't they have enough park time for themselves. I mean come on - that is the time I was going to let my kids out of the stroller and walk and RELAX without worrying about the hustle and bustle of the crowds.

I was just trying to inform people of the little one's magic hour. I just happenned across it today - I had no idea about this. I'm going in two weeks with two little ones and would have been bummed if I had missed out on this special hour!

I don't know the rules around using the hour, was hoping someone else could clarify that. I certainly wasn't suggesting people without little ones use this hour if it is not intended for them. Sorry if that wasn't clear, should have had a question mark at the end of that sentance.

Just hope my 6 yr old is considered "a little one".

This is very vague. No ages are given. My DS 10 enjoys those rides as well as the coasters so because he is 10 and his sister is a preschooler, does this mean he can't go? Will people look at us because we have an older child with us?

Don't know about this, BUT--my son is 11 and he rode everything in FL-on a brighter note--we were at MK at rope drop and went straight back to Fl-we basically had it to ourselves!! We did not need any fp, (we did get one for the Peter Pan ride just in case), our girls actually rode the teac cups about 4 or 5 times in a row with no waiting!! The down side I think of this is that FL may be crowded for non-resort guest on opening.

Have Fun

There is no age limit for the Little Ones Magic Hour. Anyone who is a WDW resort guest will be allowed to enter the park, but only Fantasyland will be open.

To the OP, thanks for taking the time to let others know about this. I had almost forgotten about it and was hoping to take advantage of the extra hour. With young kids, we're up early anyways so we might as well be there.

Sorry - I see that I have jumped to conclusions. I see (from your signature) that you have little one's. I wouldn't worry about it.

Are you certain of this? They have EMH for MK and the other parks. Why do they call this Little One's Magical Beginning's and open rides suitable for preschoolers if all ages can attend? A CM had me under the impression that Disney was specifically targeting small children. That all ages would be permitted to enter, but ONLY small children would be allowed to ride.

How peeved will I be if my older sons are not allowed to ride with my younger son...what should they do, stand there and watch for an hour while their little brother rides the rides? Also, that is not realistic...My sons are only 6 and 9. I am not going to leave them standing outside Peter Pan (for instance) alone while I ride with my younger (correct preschool age) child. Preschool kids certainly cannot ride any ride alone, thus they would need a parent.

I am sure that Disney would not have any policy in place to encourage families to "break apart" while there. It is a time offered to help accomadate families with younger children...I fail to read it as "leave your 9 year old and 6 year old children standing all alone while you ride with your preschooler". Or "if you also have older kids, you miss out". Or even "If you are traveling without a preschooler you are not allowed".

That time is offered to help families with younger kids have another oppurtunity to utilize the parks in a way easier for themselves (ie they can play in the cool morning and return to the hotel for a rest in the hot afternoon)...not to make others feel unwelcome. They are aiming to entice more families with preschool age kids in the off season (most school age kids are in school) and they are trying to court this share of the market...however, they are not putting limits on who can enjoy the bonuses they are setting out (other then must be a guest of a WDW resort and must have theme park admission for the day).

What if a 6 year old (and mine does) loves the Wiggles, should he not go to that concert since it is part of the Little Ones series?

If Disney had a rule forbiding anyone other than preschool families it would be clearly stated. Short of that official rule, I think none of us should be hasty about being judge and jury of anyone who would chose to use the extra time. Disney is extending time with certain attractions open to anyone who would be interested. They are trying to court the preschool age set but they are not trying to exclude other ages (at least that is not anything I have seen officially and I for one will be " :furious: " if my older sons are not allowed to ride with their brother!!!!

We plan to take advantage of this next Sunday. Does anyone know if the Disney busses incorporate this into their schedules?

Vickibean - Please post about this after your experience!!!

I would love to hear how well it works, how crowded it is, etc. I also wonder if your resort will provide information about this to you when you check in? Is it too much to hope that this is not widely known about?

We are taking a short 3 day trip and thus have little choice on the days we go to MK. I was already worried how Thursday's EMH would affect the crowds, now I am worried if this will make our Wed. morning at Fantasyland very crowded.

I will just hope it is truly a "magical hour" and not crowded. Now, I just have to get my kids out of bed...

 I received a flyer from my Disney Chase card and it had some information about it plus a phone number. :sunny: If you go to the disney worlds site and type /littleones after it it brings up some information about it. :wave2: Hope this helps.

That page has info on the Little Ones program...including the Wiggles appearing at MGM at Playhouse Disney on 8/29-9/1.

Sadly for my son, we will not be at WDW on the Wiggles dates (his very favorites) but we will get to see Ralph's World...and yes, I will be the one with the 6 and 9 year olds attending along with their little brother as a family :).

::yes:: :thumbsup2 Well stated! While Disney may be aiming to attract families with young children they won't exclude others. Can you imagine if they had the CM's at Dumbo turn older siblings away as their 2 yr old brother got on the ride??? What a magical hour that would be especially for the parents who have to explain to the older sibs that they should just enjoy watching their little brother! :rotfl2:

We'll be there 9/1-9/6, and hope to be able to see the Wiggles on 9/1 (Johnny & the Sprites is there the other days). Our flight gets in at 10:00 then we'll take ME to ASMo. I know we won't be able to get into our room since check-in is in the afternoon.

Does anyone know the time schedule of performances? I even called Disney, and the CM I spoke with said she couldn't find the info. Has anyone gone lately that might have some idea of performance times. We're hoping there will be one (or more) in the afternoon of 9/1 that we can attend.

Didn't they also have "little ones" room packages also? I thought I remember briefly looking at this, but either my kids were too old or the stay required was too long. And the free dining package was the same time, so we did that instead.
