NEW! Little Ones Magic Hour
Part of Magical Beginnings

This summer, Disney is offering a new program devoted to families traveling with toddlers or preschoolers, called Magical Beginnings. As part of Magial Beginnings, August 13 to September 30 has been designated "Little Ones Travel Time." During this period, Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom will open an hour early on select days for Disney guests for favorites such as Dumbo the Flying Elephant, it's a small world and Peter Pan's Flight, and a new play area called Pooh's Playful Spot. Plus, youngsters can meet favorite characters during the special edition Extra Magic Hours. Here's how it will work:

ADMISSION: The Little Ones Magic Hour will allow those staying at Walt Disney World owned and operated resorts, as well as the Walt Disney World Swan, Walt Disney World Dolphin, Shades of Green, and The Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort, to enter Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom Park one hour prior to regularly scheduled park opening to enjoy select Fantasyland attractions. Valid theme park ticket and resort ID are required. To enjoy the Little Ones Magic Hour benefit, guests whose tickets do not have the Park Hopper option can only visit the park offering the Little Ones Magic Hour benefit that day.

SCHEDULE: Offered Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings August 13 through September 30, 2006.

Sundays: 8/13, 8/20, 8/27, 9/3, 9/10, 9/17, 9/24

--Mickey's PhilharMagic
--Peter Pan's Flight
--Pooh's Playful Spot
--Snow White's Scary Adventures

I asked this on another thread but maybe someone here can tell me....exactly at what time will it start? For instance if the little ones magic hour coincides with the same day as the regular EMH, does that mean it starts at 8a.m? Or 7 a.m? And if the rest of the park is closed how do you get into fantasyland?

They DON'T coincide, that's the point.

All published times on the WDW calendar are "regular" hours.

You will always ADD the hour(s) of the EMH to those listed times.

So, since AM EMH is always one hour, if the park is listed to open at 9am, EMH (or Little Ones EMH) would start at 8am.

After entering the gate, you just walk up Main Street and thru the Castle to FL.

Well, if they don't coincide, why doesn't the MK calendar specify that these are little ones EMH? I don't see that info here which makes it even more confusing.

I 'think' that Disney has not listed the Little Ones EMH on their website because they are trying to promote this event to families with toddlers/preschoolers.... This Magical Beginings EMH is not intended for all resort guests like their normal EMH (although all resort guest can attend) I do think that any guests with preschoolers visiting during this time are made aware of the Magical Beginings EMH at their resort upon checkin (at least that is what I have read from reports from Disers who just returned)

I already posted the Little Ones EMH days.
The reason I did that is so you could SEE that they are distinct and apart from the "Normal" EMH days (which include Tomorrowland attractions as well as Fantasyland).

And I posted a LINK to more information about it.
Here it is again:

I'm not trying to argue with you but we will be there 9/10 which is listed as an "EMH" on WDW's calendar and also listed as one of the little ones magic hour dates. Maybe I'm supposed to assume that this isn't an all guest EMH but their calendar isn't specifying that which is why I'm a bit confused. :confused3

9/10 is an "EVENING" MK "regular" EMH, not Morning EMH.

Look HERE for EMH specifics.

We're going to miss it.

I recommend you go to a "regular" MK AM EMH.

We go every single day they offer it during our trips and have never once been disappointed.

Dumbo, Teacups, Philharmagic, Peter Pan, Pooh, Carousel, Snow White, Small World... all doable with very short lines.

The TRICK is to be AT THE GATES no later than 20 minutes before the EMH open time, go directly to Fantasyland and do Dumbo and Teacups FIRST, then work around to the other rides, leaving Philharmagic and Small World until the regular park hours begin.

Have fun!! :thumbsup2
