I just wanted to share my exciting day. My dd and I were lucky enough to attend the Red Carpet Screening of the Little Mermaid at the Elgin Theatre in downtown Toronto. Friends of mine invited us. We were greeted by the Directors/writers Ron Clements and John Musker. Then as a surprise, Jodi Bensen sang "Part of your World" live. It was spectacular. Then we watched the to be released version of the movie. It was followed by a reception with food and drink, clowns, jugglers, face painters and magicians. On the way out we were given a gift bag with the 2 disc DVD (which isn't available until Tuesday), 2 disc special edition CD and a beautiful talking special edition Ariel doll(she plays games, sings, moves and says 125 sayings). My dd was in aye of it all (as was I). We had a fabulous time, we saw alot of local celebrities and it made me want to be in WDW. We were very fortunate to attend.

Do you know if that Ariel doll is for sale anywhere??? My dd age 4 would love it. Ariel is her favourite princess.

Thanks

Ahh, I wish I could have. I was very lucky!!! As for the doll, we saw it at WDW for $40 or $50 USD. We didn't get it then so when dd saw the gift she was thrilled. I haven't seen it anywhere here yet and I was just at Toys r us and walmart. However with the release of the DVD, I am sure they will have alot more merchandise available. If not, you can always get it when you are there at Christmas.

Okay, I've heard these discussed before....lime green mickey chips from Home Depot...but what is a lime green mickey head??? :confused3

A lime green mickey head can be obained at HOme Depot where they keep the Disney paints and it is the "official" symbol of the DIS boards.

Hope that helps

I had my LGMH laminated and I put my user name on it. I hole-punched it and hung it from my stroller. That way if you are at WDW and a fellow diser sees it, they can say a friendly Hello!!

HTH,
:thumbsup2

Oops, didn't know my hubby was signed in, the above post was from belle1627.

Wow, I never knew anything about this LGMH.

Sounds so amazing, I loved Little Mermaid, and especially Part Of Your World.

I'm putting that DVD on my wishlist.

The DVD is awesome, it has so many bonus features. They spend time talking about the ride that never was. You can take a "virtual" ride on the Little mermaid attraction, it is too bad they nixed the idea, it looks like it would have been spectular. There were also the sneak peeks and my dd was thrilled to learn that Little Mermaid 3, Cinderella 3 and Tinkerbell DVDs are coming out soon.

Anyway, there is so much to this DVD set it is so worth the $$. :goodvibes

How wonderful for your dd. She must have been so excited to get her doll. I love the little Mermaid and Ariel as does my dgd. I love red hair. Wait a minute, I have red hair. Hmmm but I certainly don't look like Ariel! LOL
