shorts and t-shirt or cotton dresses? She's 3 and still in a diaper. Will be in a stroller most of the time and too young really to have her thighs rub together much like Mommy's. : ) I think dresses would be easier for packing and dressing, but want to know if there are any reasons not to....

Thanks,

My dd prefers the little dresses. Our last trip she was just short of 3 and wore them everyday. Of course, that's pretty much what she wears all the time during the summer at home as well.

My dd's would rather wear sundresses..nothing frilly just the little cotton kind. So easy to throw one of those on and some little flip flops or sandals!!

Myself I too would do dresses with a sturdy shoe to many places for little toes to get caught or even worse badly sunburned cause the canapy on stroller did not cover feet.

We took both when we had a 3yo. She is/was a dress kind of girl anyway. Dresses would make for easy diaper changes. When we took our 3yo, she was trained but messed her underwear at Akershus. We ditched the panties in the trash and headed out to the stroller to slip new ones under the dress. Well she helped out by lifting her dress for the world to see!

Well probably no one did among the sea of strollers...

We did a mix of both last time we went, and will probably do mostly lightweight dresses for our dd's this year. They're 4 and 6, and prefer dresses most of the time. princess: I'm bringing a couple pairs of skirts/scooters too, but think they'll be in the dresses most of the time.

My DD was 15 months the last time we went to WDW. I did both shorts and t-shirts and dresses...but I found the dresses a lot more easy to work with while in the parks. I could just buzz into the bathroom with our stroller (we had our own) and I could change her right in there. Didn't have to worry about getting the shorts on straight or buttoning her up. We didn't bother with the little undies that come with some dresses...just cotton dresses and sturdy tennis shoes. Not that kids clothing takes up a TON of space, but cotton dresses are probably a bit less on the luggage too if you are flying and paying baggage charges (or trying to avoid them).

Have a great trip!

My DD *lives* in dresses over the summer. I've found nice light cottony ones pretty much everywhere. There are some cute ones at Old Navy right now. They're nice and light, and they make for easy diaper changes. Oh-- I also use PullUps in the summer, and you can change her standing up!

When we were at Disney when DD was 3, all she wore were cotton sundresses. They were perfect & cool to wear; no hot waistbands to make her uncomfortable. We went again when she was 5 & did the same thing - worked great!

LOL side note: this thread is making *me* want to get some cotton sundresses for myself!

I purchased MANY disney handmade cotton sundresses off of ebay/etsy. They are VERY light. I purchased some last year that will fit again this year and I just purchased some this year as well so that's what she will wear. She will be in a stroller too, last year we bought sandals and sneakers and whatever one she did not wear I just threw in my bookbag and bought to the parks with us.
