List of where to find characters?

I think I might have missed a superthread about this, but I'm wondering if there is any list of places where you are likely to find various characters. For example, my youngest daughter wants to meet princesses, and the favorites this week are Tiana and Rapunzel. I gather that some princesses can be found at the Princess Fantasy Faire and Mickey and Minnie are in their houses (right?), but is there any more usual list? e.g. could we expect to find Donald somewhere? If we ate at Ariel's Grotto, would we know which Princesses to expect to meet?

The Princess Fantasy Faire has three princesses that change periodically, so there is no guarantee you will get any particular princess.

Rapunzel has her own area inside Fantasyland.

We have done Ariel's Grotto twice (2009 & 2011). We got Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella and Snow White. They 'work the room' while you eat and really spend some time at each table so this is worth it if you really want one or all of those particular princesses.

I believe you can get some kind of schedule from City Hall, but we have never gotten it so I am not sure how detailed it is. For my family, it has really been a matter of luck. On our last trip, we were exiting the Space Orbiter when Ariel, Cinderella and Snow White were headed to their places around the castle. My daughter ran up to them and Ariel took her hand and ran off with my daughter. So much for all those talks about stranger danger. I was nearly running through the crowd trying to keep up with them…or at the very least, keeping sight of my daughter.

It is a favorite memory because my daughter is a real talker and she talked Ariel's ear off the entire time. And then, once Ariel got in place, my daughter was first to get her picture taken (once I caught up to them).

My DS is 5 so we were not looking for princesses, but I can tell you where we saw some characters on our trip last week. Sulley was in DCA back by the bathroom, on the edge of the Mad T Party area. Mr. Incredible was across the street from where Sulley was. They were not there at the same time; when Sulley left, Mr. Incredible came out about 10 minutes later. The photopass photogs gave us the heads up. We saw Handy Manny and then Jake outside a store front a little ways from the bathroom area on BVS (I think it is still considered BVS-after entering the park, you turn left on the street that takes you back to Hollywood.) We saw Woody, Buzz and Jessie alternating times across from TSMM on Paradise Pier. We originally asked about Woody and Jessie in DL at Big Thunder Ranch. The CM taking reservations called the hotline for us and then told us that they only appeared on Paradise Pier. We saw Donald dressed in his sailor outfit in the pavilion by Ariel's Grotto. We saw Chip and Dale and Mickey dressed in their 20's outfits in the plaza where the new partners statue is located. I believe Pluto hangs out there too. Minnie was across the street by FF and P Cafe in her 20's gear. Minnie and Mickey are in their houses in Toon Town, but the line can get long there. Minnie is also at her character b-fast. The Queen of Hearts was near the exit before going under the bridge. I saw some characters hanging out by the front as you enter under the right side of the bridge. We also saw some princesses right through the entrance (by the big flower bed where everyone stops to take pictures.)

We were never looking for the characters (except Woody and Jessie), we just kind of ran into them. Oh, something else, sometimes the CM's close the line even though the characters are still greeting. They generally tell you, "The line for Woody is closed, but Buzz will arrive in about 10 minutes."
