Let's make a list of the rooms that are BAD at WDW.

Objective only! In other words if you thought it was bad because it was at the end of the resort and didn't like the walk, others might disagree because they enjoy the quiet and don't mind that walk. So that won't count.

I'm looking for people to post bad room numbers of rooms that are bad becaue they overlook a smelly dumpster, are right next to the bus stop and noisy, or have some other issue that anyone that stayed in that room would agree makes it a bad room.

Also rooms that are in disrepair or need of rehab won't count, because that's something that can be corrected over time.

The list so far: (I've only added where there are room numbers listed in teh post)

GF:

1. We had a nearly identical view from Room 9218. We were also close enough to the elevators to hear them running all night!

2. Our other stay at the GF we were in 9240 also in Big Pine Key and had a lovely view of the Boca Chica stairwell.

3. Lodge Tower room at GF, Room # 9214. It's on the second floor of the Big Pine Key building and it overlooks the back of the poolhouse and the housekeeping area below. So, you look at dirty towels, sheets, etc right below you. Not to mention the noise of having housekeeping coming and going all day. Also, the inside service area for housekeeping is right next to your front door. So, you hear noise from that, too. Worst room I've EVER had at the GF in almost 20 years of visiting the resort.

BC:

1. Room 3719 at the Beach Club. This room has no balcony, not even a standing balcony. It's very dark because the only light comes from a single window that looks out over a roof and directly faces the back of the facade at the BC. It totally blocks the sun and any view. The room is also smaller than the standard room at the BC, and is closer in size to a moderate room.

AKL:

1. AKL 6206. There is a thatched roof overhang that obstructs the view form most of the balcony. You can also see the rooftops of the other wings. The fact that it is on the 6th floor also makes it difficult to see very far out onto the savanna as several trees block your view.

BWV: If my memory serves my correctly any of the X001 BWV rooms that overlook the Swolphin. Directly below is the dumpster for the Piano Bar. They dump all the bottles/cans at approximately 1:15am and then a truck comes to pick them up at around 6:30am (with backing up warning beeps). I lasted two nights and then packed everything up and moved to VWL (BWV was sold out). Had a nice quiet view of some trees.

I do not know the room number but any room over the front entrance to YC. Your "view" is a very large & ugly black roof.

I do not know the room number, this was 3 years ago and immediately asked for our room to be changed. Beach Club, I believe 3rd floor, "overlooking" SAB, but really overrlooking a gravel roof with standing room only balcony. This was a waterview room with little to no view of any sort of water :rotfl2: .

I don't remember the exact room number either. It was at the Polynesian, 3rd floor Aerotora Building. It was at the end closest to the marina. The view was so obscured by a giant tree/bush that you almost couldn't even see any sunlight! We changed after one night and after going round and round with the front desk.

I can't remember the room numbers but the rooms next to the elevator at BWV. The shaft is right at the head of the bed in the master bedroom. Up and down all night long. it is a handicapped room. We were on the 5th floor.

Lodge tower room # 5513 at the GF has no balcony or step out. As soon as we realized it we asked to switch rooms. I just couldn't stand the thought of not being able to at least step out for fresh air.

Boardwalk Inn Room 1323. This room is next to the vending machines, ice machine and ground floor exit door. You can hear the machines and the door all day and all night. Because it's ground floor near the quiet pool, people are constantly standing outside your patio yakking, and even though it's a NON-SMOKING building, the adjacent patios all had smokers on them. The drapes were falling off their rod, the bathtub was chipped, the marble floor in the bathroom had a huge ugly yellow stain in it, and the whole room reeked of some nasty disinfectant. The daybed had no sheets underneath the zippered cover - we had to call for some. Based on the unkempt state of the room, I'm guessing they only assign it when the resort is really booked. I complained immediately but they "had no other room available" until the third day of our stay. I could have gotten a better room at motel 6.

We had one of those as well and that problem got fixed in about 5 minutes!

Yeesh, were there any rooms you DID like? I don't think it's possible to be objective about this, most of the stuff you're complaining about I wouldn't have even noticed, let alone complained about.

why not make a thread about the great room at wdw? such a negative attitide is only making trouble.

I realize this is an extremely old post. I came upon it after my daughter texted with her room number, and it is room 3719 at the Beach Club. It is a standard room, with a really nice view for a standard room, and a full balcony. Room size looks normal for Beach Club. The information above is not correct. Didn’t want anyone else who might have done a search to make a decision using info that either was never correct, or was correct but changes have been made. Room is great.
