List of rides with Fastpass?

There could be something I am forgetting but for DL:

Splash, Haunted, Indiana, Big Thunder and Space.

Seriously the fastpass is great but they kind of ruined it when they made it where you can only hold one pass at a time before grabbing another. You used to be able to have a few at one time and could plot your day by it.

Haunted Mansion only has fast pass during Christmas when it is haunted holiday mansion. Autopia and Buzz also have fast pass. As does Roger rabbit, although this is disconnected from the fast pass system so you can get passes fr this at any time.

In DCA Soarin, Screamin and tower of terror, mulholland madness have FP available. Grizzly river run also has fastpass but again it is disconnected from the system.

DL:
-Space
-Indiana Jones
-Splash
-Buzz Lightyear
-Autopia (not used on smaller crowd days)
-Big Thunder (not used on smaller crowd days)
-Roger Rabbit (disconnected)
-Haunted Mansion Holiday (Only late September-January)

DCA:
-Soarin
-California Screamin
-Grizzly River Run (not used on smaller crowd days and disconnected)
-Mulholland Madness (not used on smaller crowd days)
-Tower of Terror (not used on smaller crowd days)

DoomBugger, have you been at DLR recently & experienced this?.

It's common knowledge (& common practice) that one can collect multiple FPs (particularly in the early morning) & save them for evening touring.

I'm hoping that is still the case..... or this thread will probably blow up.

Is there anyone who has been to DLR (in the past two weeks) that has an opinion on this? popcorn::

Does anyone know if they ever have FPs still on Haunted Mansion on the first days they open back up? No particular reason I'm asking...oh, unless you notice when I'm going. :rotfl: (assuming they open on time, it'll be my first time on NORMAL Haunted Mansion since the late 70s or early 80s!!!!!)

I'll be sure to report back on the state of FPs in about 8.75 days. :upsidedow

Haunted House you really won't need the fastpass so no worries there, I barely see them using the FP fof HM.

Yes, I was just in the park a few days ago (be back tomorrow) and you can't hold more than one FP at a time. If you try it will print out a paper that says you already hold a FP and must wait until you can use that one to get another. We used to hold like 3 or 4 at a time but no longer.

I'm not sure about the early morning thing but I doubt the system changes during the day so it probably like that all the time now. Bummer.

Well we've been there on the day it opens for HMH, and you *definitely* need a FP on those days...so I figure getting there the DAY the normal HM opens I might.

Though of course wanting to see the whole queue doesn't really go along with wanting a FP...

That is HORRIBLE news about the FPs, if it wasn't just a mistake in their system. Yikes!

This statement is completely untrue. You can hold more than one FP at a time, and you do NOT have to use the FP in order to receive a new one. The FP will clearly state on the bottom when the next FP will be available, REGARDLESS of whehter you have used your previous FP or not. If you arrive at the parks at opening, and continuously pick up new FP's once the window is open, you can easily have several FP's in your pocket for various rides by afternoon. Not to mention the fact that DL and DCA are disconnected and RRCS and GRR are disconnected, so you can get those FP's immediately after being issued one from another ride.

Doombugger, you may want to read Hydro's well-researched FP informational threads here:

I did not author this next thread, but I reference it in so many of my other tips that I decided to include it here. It is a sticky thread on MiceChat, and is kept up to date by the author, Darkbeer. It is the Bible of FASTPASS.

I never siad you had to use it to get another, only that you had to wait for the window to open to get the next one.

You might want to read what I said... which is simply that it is not as easy as it once was to collect a bunch of passes.

Ok, well, I guess it was this part that confused me:

If you try it will print out a paper that says you already hold a FP and must wait until you can use that one to get another. We used to hold like 3 or 4 at a time but no longer.

You don't have to wait until you can use the first FP before you an get another. Many times, you can get another FP before the window opens to use the first FP you hold. You just have to pay attention to the time listed on the bottom of your FP which tells you when another FP will be available.

So, this is the part of your post that I found inaccurate.

I have been going to DLR pretty consistently for the last 5 years, and the only change I noticed with FP distribution is when they removed the AAA "enhanced" FP option. I haven't noticed any changes to the FP system otherwise, but then again, I'm a "get there at park opening and collect as many FP's as you can" kind of gal, so I don't find a need to collect them later in the day/evening. . . :rolleyes1

What is said there was misphrased, what I was trying to say was that you had to wait for the window. My bad.

It is just not as easy to accumulate them perhaps because of the amount of time you have to wait for that window, which seems to have been increased to make the FP system work more efficiently. If FP is to really work well it has to distribute the FP riders evently throughout the day the best it can. Yes, when I say "window" I mean the time it states that you can get another. It seems reasonable that they would tweak the system over time to save paper and make the FP lines actually short when you do arrive.

We just remember it being easier to aquire a bunch without thinking about it but I'll have to look into some of the info on FP as all my info is strictly hands on.

I don't know when you went and experienced this "getting several FPs at once", but I have a map from 2000. It clearly states the rules of FP and the "When can you get another" answer was (in 2000) the same as it is now. That is if your return window is good OR two hours after obtaining the first. And that wasn't too long after FP began. It was introduced at Animal Kingdom at WDW in 1999 and then brought to the other WDW parks and DL in 99/00. A little FP history for ya.
