Here are the places I've seen them.
1. Japan pavillion in Epcot
2. Outside by the pool at BC/YC
3. At downtown disney
4. Typhoon Lagoon
They also have this at Sea World. When we were there a few years ago they had divers go into a tank to "fetch" the oyster you wanted. It was really neet.
Those are the only places I've seen them. It was very fun to do. I had each of my boys pick an oyster and then let them decide what they wanted to make me. I have a beautiful ring and a nice pendant. While these two pieces of jewelry are of no real value, they are some of my favorite pieces to wear because they remind me so much of that trip. I got mine at Epcot and it was a great experience. They really make a big deal if you get a really large pearl or a rare one. One of my sons picked an oyster that had a bluish silver pearl and the CMs went nuts over it. My little man was beaming with pride for picking mommy a great pearl. Have fun!
The one at the Japan pavilion in Epcot has a much larger selection for setting though if your going to have it set while your there. It only took them about 20 minutes or so to have it done.
The Japan Pavilion pick-a-pearl is quite a production ceremony. The girls working the station make it fun for everyone, cleaning the picked pearls, sizing them, beating the drums and announcing the sizes. They are also the ones who help you select settings and then set the pearls themselves.
The pick a pearl sounds so neat! Does anyone know around what they cost? My sis and I would love to do this if it's not too pricey. Thanks so much for the help!

When we did it the cost to pick a pearl was $15.00. If you want to just get a pearl to keep that's all it will cost you. If you want to set it then the price will vary greatly depending on what settings you pick. I spent over $100 to set a ring and a pendant, but my mom had a pendant made that only cost her around $25.
Picking the pearl doesn't cost that much - I think around $15. It's getting the setting that starts adding up the $$$. I got one pearl and had it set in a necklace, I think it ended up costing us around $55.
these sound really nice little keepsakes... i like the idea of the kids choosing one to make a gift for mummy!!
i'd love to see some photos of peices that people have had made??
The first is a charm. It cost $10 and can be used as jewelery or as a cell phone charm. I can't put it on my cell phone so I use it as a zipper pull on my purse.
The second is a white gold ring. It cost around $200. But I love it. I wear it all the time.
I'm wearing mine today actually. My son picked it out in Japan. I think pearl and sterling silver ring mount were like $40. I've had it 2 1/2 years now and while I don't wear it daily, I do wear it often and it is still looks GREAT.
