Hi!

This is my first post on this board. I hope y'all can help. We are leaving in 3 days for our WDW Thanksgiving vacation. I have not been since 1984 and my family have never been. I have the tickets, budget, lists etc.
But, I want to make sure that I have all of the best pictures to scrapbook when I get home. Is there a list of photo ops out there somewhere? Or can some of you Disney vets give me some hints of your best places for pictures.
Thank you for any help!

You know, others may have different opinions, but I think the best photo ops are those that have special meaning and memory to your family. If you are laughing and having a good time, that's the best place to snap a photo. The best photo DH and I have from our last trip is two that some nice guest took while we were on our Surrey Bike at the Boardwalk. We had such a blast on those and the pictures really convey that because we are laughing and enjoying eachother.

Obviously there are some classic spots in the park, the castle, the tree of life, the scorcer's hat and space ship earth. But, focus more on having fun and those photo ops will really just come to you.

There are "Picture Places" sponsored by Kodak through out the parks. They are listed in the individual park guides and marked at the locations. They really are great places to take photos. Have a wonderful time, the parks have changed a bit in the past 19 years (-:~

my best advice?
make sure you are in the pictures Have CM or people take them of your entire group!

At the most popular photo spots they'll have people with cameras just begging to take your picture, i.e. the castle. then you can buy them. but just look for those people and you've got a good spot for pics. i always like to get character shots. i waited almost an hour to get one with mickey and it came out dark and fuzzy :( what a waste of valuable park time. maybe some others have suggestions on the best way to snag mickey for a pic.

Thanks everyone!

We will have other families with us, so I can get pictures of myself. I will look for the Kodak picture places and of course, where other people are taking pictures.

I could kick myself for not taking a picture of my kids wearing Mickey ears. They bought other hats there but I wish I would have clicked one of them wearing Mickey ears! I did get one with the goofy ears and the princess crown.

I also took a black and white of my kids eating Mickey and Simba ice cream. I love it.

Another one I love is my daughters face when she is watching Share a Dream Come true Parade. Priceless

Don't forget to save all the little things that add character to your pages; ticket stubs, parking passes, receipts, special drink stirring sticks. Have a wonderful trip!!:)

Like Bon Bon said save all the stuff for later. Make sure you take a ziplock bag to put those things in so they don't get damaged.

I love Julianne's idea about the black and white picture with them eating Mickey ice creams. I am going no to change our and see how they look. Thanks for that suggestion!

We have a friend that goes with us sometimes and he loves hats. He will stop wherever we are and try on a hat. We have all sorts of pictures with him trying on all the different hats. I love all those photos that are not planned like those.

One of the most special pictures we have is to the back side of the castle. If you walk down the walkway to either side of the castle there are little cubby holes to take pictures. They are off the walkway and no one will walk in your way. Our little cousin sat up on the wall and we took a picture with the castle behind him. We also took family pictures there.

Someone on the boards has a beautiful picture of their daughter with the side of the castle beside her. It was taken over by the Crystal Palace. Again there are not as many people walking in front of you or around or behind your subject so it's mostly the person/s and the castle.

Have fun!

Some of the pictures I treasure the most from Our honeymoon trip are. Cindy and my DH with groom ears in toon town.
Myself and eeyore.
The picture of DH and I In front of Lady and Tramp Fountain in Tony's Town Square.
The candid shots.
