I'm looking at adding something to our plan this October. We have one, maybe two days free(depending on whether we repeat certain parks) and I wanted to do something different.

We already have the Manatee swim da out which Im sure will be amazing.

Is there anywhere I can look for a list of 'exeriences', or do you recommend any?

My children will be 6 and 3, so may be limited (otherwise we would do Discovery cove, but I don't want to spend that amount of money if we can't include the Dolphin swim).

We do love the water, so would consider something else like snorkelling etc, but since we're already doing the manatee swim day, I was hoping for something different.

Thanks in advance!

Anyone?

Has anyone done the Clearwater one? Cameron keeps asking to go to a beach, but we're not driving so I thought it was out, but will do this if it's worth it.

We have only done the parks so I can't help much but we had a really good time at the mini golf. We got the boat from MGM, walked through Swan & Dolphin to Fantasia the staff were lovely & friendly, we then walked to Epcot. We did it during the day & it was too hot but our friends go early evening, you could maybe go to the boardwalk after, I understand that there is street entertainers there. You could try the one at Blizzard Beach it might be better for the children.

DH loves sea fishing and really wants to take our 7yr old daughter (don't ask!!) anyway there is a trip on ATD site, full day travelling to Clearwater, lunch inc then fishing on the Gulf of Mexico - theres a short video showing it. It looks quite good, and somthing the whole family would enjoy, so ive booked that for us.

Kx

p.s We do DC without the Dolphin swim (partly bcos of cost) and love it - doing it again this year - you really dont miss the swim believe me - and its our favourite day of the holiday!

That's the one I saw Karen! Worth doing then?

I might have another look at Discovery Cove too, see if it's worth the big price tag without the swim lol.

Thank everyone. Any more ideas will be welcome! :D

Its worth keeping in mind you do not have to have at least one person swimming with the dolphins as advertised, as if you ask, they will let the whole party go without AND you only get charged for all non swims.

We have done this both times - 1st time bkd direct with DC - this time bkd with ATD - no problem with ALL non swims and saves you a small fortune.

We would'nt miss this at all - First time DH thort it was alot to pay but when he was there, he said it was worth every penny and made sure i bkd it this time around.

This place was the highlight of my trip to orlando. DC is amazing there is plenty to do all day. The Dolphin swim was great and I could have stayed with them all day but that was not allowed. The area with the birds is great and they are really tame.

Cost of the photos and DVD is alot but believe me it is worth it just to relive the memory. There are photographers going around the whole place and we have some brilliant ones that were taken. DH with the parrot on his head is just the best.

They limit the ammount of people so its not crowded and it feels so relaxed. There are loads of places to layout on the beaches and if you are quick you can get a seat right next to the dolphin lagoon.
Remember all your food, drink and snacks are included in the price of your admission so once you pay that unless you want to buy other things thats it.

I am trying to get DH to agree to go back this year.

I'd definately do DC without the swim.
The food Major thumbs up from me!! was included in the price, and other things to do are worth the cost alone without the swim.
It's a great day out,the photo's etc are expensive so always bear that in mind.

We love playing Mini golf.:thumbsup2

Thanks everyone, I'm definitely looking into DC now. :D Is all food included or just a breakfast and lunch? Can I go up to any food place there and get what I want?

I see the price includes a day ticket to Seaworld too? That will save me £100 cancelling the seaworld tickets I've already booked. :D

I've already set a day for I-drive, golf, wonderworks and ripleys. I can't remember the name of the golf place now, but it's the one with the Alligators. :D

I'm also considering cancelling the Manatee swim too. :S I'd love to do it but it'll be hard trying to hold on to two young kids (one who is just learning to swim one who can't swim at all) and take pics etc lol. If I do I'd want to do something similar. We can always snorkel with the sharks in Typhhon lagoon. :D

Does anybody know anything about swimming with the fish in Epcot (is it Epcot?). I've only read snippets so not sure if it's even on any more?

ATD are offering a free Boggy Creek Ride at the mo, if u decide to book DC
Choice of Adventure tkts showing at £107 non swim - this includes a trip to either Seaworld or Busch
or i had the Ultimate DC ticket for approx £50 pp extra but this includes trips to Busch, Seaworld, and Aquatica - BARGAIN

Breakfast and Dinner are in one particular place- and as somebody said is VERY enjoyable, its never usually overcrowded because of the limit on numbers in the park - drinks, icecreams lollies etc are all free dotted around in kiosks - u also get proper life jackets snorkals etc and suncream for u to use all free.

I can't get the free boggy creek ride as I'm already booked with ATD lol.

I've had a long think, and £107 each is too pricey, so DC is unfortunately out of the question!

But, I've also been thinkng about the Manatee swim and whether it's suitable for a 3 year old. And I decided it's not. She probably won't even get into the water because it's so cold, can't swim so I'd be holding her the whole time, and can't guarantee she wouldn't 'harass the manatees!' lol

So I've cancelled that and added this http://www.attraction-tickets-direct.co.uk/attraction-ticket-prices/clearwater.htm

A trip to clearwater for the day, breakfast and lunch included, and a dolphin cruise for 75 minutes. Life jackets and everything incuded free. At least that we we get to see dolphins and can take pics too. And we can use it as a rest day too and chill on a beach. Cameron has been begging me to take him to the beach when we're there but so far I've said no because we won't be driving.

I won't be telling them this, and think they will love it. :D

Thanks for everyone's posts. I will definitely be doing DC next time, I plan to go when my youngest is 6 so we can do the swim!

I think that sounds like a great idea where did you book that one?

Sorry to hijack the post but are ADT ok to use? There are so many sites offering good deals it's all a bit bewildering!!

ADT's prices look good, I was looking at DC tickets and is cheaper with ADT than buying them direct and you get a free airboat ride which I was also going to book :thumbsup2

TIA
