I know this has been asked a lot but I'm having trouble locating a good list and touring plans room finder doesn't seem to match what all I'm seeing elsewhere... so does anyone have or can point me to a good list of the standard rooms with savannah views at AK Jambo House?

thanks!

Below is the map with standard rooms highlighted.

I have seen that but their info doesn't seem to match what I'm finding elsewhere on other posts... less rooms showing standard than posted elsewhere. does anyone know if touring plans is accurate?
I see what you mean. A lot of the maps online are not in agreement. If we could nail down what room numbers are associated with standard view rooms then we could refer to other maps which actually have the room numbers displayed on them.

Here's a TripAdvisor review which location of the room they stayed in:

There are no AK studios with 2 queen bed, do not believe the above post.

The Touring Plans map cited above is mostly useless since it is mainly designed to show non-DVC rooms except for providing club level and value, and it is wrong even for the hotel rooms, i.e., if you go through a search on the map for any given type of room, it simply concludes that the particular type of room with savanna or standard view is located throughout the building. Disney Jambo hotel standard views bear no relation to DVC standard views. As a result, the Trip Advisor review mentioned above which is talking about a standard hotel room and not DVC, is also of no value in identifying DVC standard rooms.

The maps in the link provided in one of the posts by dekotix above, https://www.easywdw.com/forums/showthread.php?35532-Room-Views-at-Animal-Kingdom-Villas-Jambo are the ones applicable to DVC Jambo and can be relied on regardless of anything else you might be finding online. The first map in that link shows where standards are located in blue -- the original standards were only the ones around the pool; the rest of the standards shown are savanna view rooms that were converted to standard view in 2012. It is possible to figure out the applicable standard room numbers by comparing that map showing the standards in blue to the map in the bottom of that post which shows all the DVC room numbers.

The view finder will show the locations and room numbers...it doesn't just show that they are throughout the resort. After doing a search click on the picture (which shows everything in red) and it will show the exact locations for the each wing You can then search by floor. Here is what is shows for standard studios at Jambo for whichever wing it is I chose.

thanks I've been looking at that.. but I don't think everything shown in red is accurate.. or they are missing a lot of standard rooms in that photo. Is that true?

I believe it is accurate but really have no way to know for certain. The picture posted is just one trail so there are more available by clicking on other trails but of course at Jambo it's limited to one floor. When comparing the ones found on Touring Plans to other pics and lists I can find I do believe it is accurate.

The link was also posted above and it does seem to coincide with TP views.

WOW! Thanks! We needed this. We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, a DVC Deluxe Studio with a Standard View at the Jumbo House Villas next week. We were concerned that we might get a room facing a parking lot. It seems that some of the Standard View Rooms have a kinda Savanna View.

It’s Jambo, not Jumbo :)
With DVC at Jambo, unlike Kidani, the standards don’t have parking lot views because Giraffe and Ostrich trails at the front of the building don’t have any standard view villas.
The least desirable views in the standards IMO are the ones along the lobby and the first group down Zebra trail as they are over the roofs of the restaurants - but even so IMO they aren’t bad views since you can see the pool beyond.

Correct all Standard studios are pool view or partial savannah. That’s why I love Jambo over Kidani when it comes to studios :)

We had 5380, a standard view 1 bedroom location with partial view of the Sunset Savannah at Jambo the week before last. We could see some of the animal caging, but giraffe, zebra, various deer, ostrich, warthogs, and others were often seen, and close.

We then moved to a studio 5546 over the Uzima Savannah and had good savannah views there also. Not quite as good at the first room.

Both were better savannah views from standard rooms at Jambo than the godawful Pembe Savannah room we paid a premium in points for at Kidani.
