I'm taking a break from journaling and my diet this weekend. I have not been feeling well.
 
Hey Lisa-
After church today, one woman came up to me and said "****** had a blast at bible school with you. She loved looking forward to having you come to class. Thank you." I felt very important. If I can make a difference in someone's life, then that makes everything worth it.

Is that what it feels like to be a teacher?

Good for you for taking a couple days off. Feel better. :hug:

Hi Lisa and Welcome!! Sorry it took me awhile to visit, but you know how it goes :rolleyes:

Sounds like you have a good game plan going and good for you taking your measurements. It will amaze you how those inches will come off even if the weight loss isn't huge.

Keep typing in your journal every day if you can. It's amazing to go back and re-read some of your goals after you've reached them.

Hi Lisa! I'm back from vacation and now I'm ready to get back on track! I hope you are feeling better - I know it makes it hard to exercise and make healthy choices when you don't feel good... Don't let it get you down you too much, recognize that your body needs to recover before you get back into the swing of things!

Hi Lisa- I would have come by sooner, but I had a crazy week. Anyway, welcome to the journals. Hope you're better soon- I hate getting sick in the summer :(

Other than feeling bad, it looks like you're off to a great start! I love that you're exercising with your mom- my mom came to visit last week and we went to Curves together. It was so fun to chat with her and catch up...it made the time go by so fast! I'm also a big fan of swimming; I try to do laps at least twice a week, and I've really seen a difference. Swimming is great because it's low impact but a fantastic full-body workout.

BTW- if you're trying to eat more celery, try having some with low-fat Laughing Cow cheese. The South Beach diet recommends it, and I thought it tasted really good. Of course, I like celery anyway.
