If we could all continue keeping her in our prayers, good wishes. Lisa is in the hospital now, not really doing well.
Her cancer is now in her brain, and she is receiving some pretty intense radiation treatments for that. She apologized (can you believe that....apologized. Lisa is always thinking of others, bless her heart) for sounding somewhat hard to understand, kind of 'breathy' and hoarse as her vocal chords are sort of paralyzed now she said.
She did talk in terms of saying that the doctor does not want to be making any 'time-lines', saying things like that are entirely in God's hands, and he said he has seen miracles in his professional career. From thoughts as such, she certainly is sharing (she said she was) that it is quite serious and not sure where things are going. Lisa said her mom, sister and Lynn are alternating evenings staying overnight with her at the hospital. Her mom was there this evening.
During our conversation, Lisa said more than once how appreciative she is of all the good wishes, thoughts and prayers she had had here over the years, saying the folks on the DIS here are such wonderfully caring people. And she did ask if I could ask everyone to continue for her. I promised her I would.
In Lisa's all too short 37 years, she has been through so much, fighting the beast. Here are some of Lisa's thoughts she posted here about 5 weeks ago.
Please do keep Lisa in your good wishes, and prayers if you do. Lisa thanks you all, loves you all.
