Her CD comes out today. I think she's good. I was surprised too. And I am just mesmerized when watching her. She looks just like her dad!

I just listened to some of her stuff. I wasn't that impressed. She might sound better with better songs. I feel sorry for her in this endeavor. She's standing in a huge shadow.

LOL! She is such a beautiful woman, what is up with that picture! She looks robotic there or something! But boy! Does she look like her dad there! She's got some great genes, that's for sure.

Just to clarify:

I think she's beautiful and probably has not had the easiest life having had Elvis as her father, who died when she was so young. Very sad...

But SOLELY basing my opinion on her SINGING ABILITIES, I honestly don't think she's very talented. Between the music itself and the background singers, it appears that they are trying to "cover" for her lack of singing ability.

Just my humble opinion.

Honestly, I hope she sells a million albums. Hey, why not? She was born into the "Elvis" legacy, she didn't ask for it....so why not cash in on it. I'm sure she has people surrounding her who have convinced her that she's has talent, I don't think she is doing this only for the money. I don't blame her a bit for this new endeavor of hers, I just don't think she sounds very good at all.

I think she sounds fine. She has a deeper voice than most female singers. I've been watching her on interviews and I really like her. She's very down to earth and spunky

I haven't heard her sing, yet.
I saw one of those A&E specials about her a while back. They suggested that part of the reason she married MJ, was because he had promised to help her with her recording career. Then he decided not help her. Go figure.

I'm with SeaSpray, I think her singing is not very good. But, like the "tag fairy" quoted me, "I'm no American Idol". She's much better than me!!!

I wasn't too crazy about her in her Diane Sawyer interview either. I'm sure her life was hard at times but I think she'll be just fine.

I think she sounded very good, she said this is her sound and her lyrics based on how she feels and experiences of her life. And I like the video, its on VH1.

I think she looks more like Priscilla, with mannerisms of Elvis. She does have his eyes, though.

I watched the interview w/Diane Sawyer last week.

Lisa seems to be very down to earth and up front about everything. She even explained the Michael Jackson marriage, and how she did love him at the time and how she got sucked in to that whole fantasy thing with him. I don't recall her mentioning anything about MJ helping her with her singing career, but I could've been in the kitchen or something.

She was supposed to become the 'heir to her father's fortune' when she turned 25, but decided to wait until she was 30, which I thought was a very mature thing to do. She also mentioned that she was like a bull in her mother's china shop! She seems/seemed very rebellious, and doesn't like anyone telling her what to do!

Face it....I don't think she's singing for the money! She has plenty of it, and so will her kids, and their kids, and their kids!

And as far as her singing ability....IMHO...there isn't a whole lot of it there. Her voice reminds me of Cher's, very deep and not very appealing...again...IMHO. There were alot of background singers trying to blend in with hers, and thus covering it up.

If she makes it, good for her. But most of the listening population will be comparing her to Elvis...and nothing will ever change that.

Talent or not, I think it is certainly a very gutsy think to do . . .

I mean, she's not stupid. She KNOWS that for her to launch a singing career, she's certainly going to be compared to, well, let's see, who might that be . . . .
