Liquor Store on site???

Hes the story. We fly in super late 11:00 pm, tiffanny towncar to AKL, no rental car. Hubby and I would like to save some $$$ by having a few cocktails in our room before and after dinner. Anywhere on site or downtown Disney to buy Alcohol, such as Vodka or tequelia????Ifd not how far and approx how much to take a cab???

I think (I know for the WL, Polynesian, Port Orleans-FQ, Contemporary they do) that most, if not all Disney resorts have a small snack shop where they sell bottles (small and large) of liquor. I'm sure it's more expensive than a regular liquor store, but it's convenient.

Why don't you pack a botte of vodka? Give you some extra room in your suitcase for souvenirs.

I too asked it several months ago....seems like the best thing to do is to BRING IT WITH YOU.........check with the airlines to determine best way to fly with alcohol..............
I've been told NOT to pack it in checked luggage......obvious reasons apply here........I've also been told to take it on your carry-on........(unopened liquor will not be questioned)????....OR...if it is....airline security will want you to open it and take a sip....(to prove it is not an explosive chemical????....or to affirm that it IS alcohol???....)....either way....seems to be a an efficient and inexpensive way to get your liquor to WDW.....and IF YOU HAVE TO TAKE A SIP prior to boarding an airplane these days........THAT COULD BE A GOOD THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would suggest bringing it with you. We do not have to fly (only 2 hours away) so I cannot comment on how to take it on the plane. On one our trips we ran out of rum and when we went to purchase a bottle at the contemporary gift shop (expecting it to be outrageous), it was not as bad as we expected.

Do you get a 30 min grocery stop with your tiffany rental? If so, perhaps someone more familiar with the Orlando area or even your driver may know of a liquor store on the way to the resort. Even with it being so late, I am sure you could go through a drive through liquor store.

Even if you go purchase a bottle or 2 at the resort gift shop, you will still be saving money over buying drinks at the bar!

You could also have your Tiffany driver make a stop on the way in, or you can buy liquor at Downtown Disney - I'm pretty sure it is in Chef Mickey's now, or you can buy wine in EPCOT and bring it back to drink it. I do however recommend picking up a corkscrew, we had to get one from room service on our wedding night.

No liquor stores in FL. They sell it RIGHT IN THE GROCERY STORES whoo hoo! So, if you have a rental car, or are using a towncar service with a grocery stop, your problems are solved. Otherwise, I would buy it at the resort. There is too much of a risk taking it with you- it is a crime to transport alcohol across state lines. You could be arrested at the airport and there goes your nice vacation. I am sure many people will say they have taken it with them with no problems, but for me it is not worth the risk.

They sold liquor at the gift shop at ASMu. So, they probably sell it at all resort gift shops.

I may be mistaken, but beer and wine only are available in the grocery stores. Hard liquor still requires you to find a liquor store in FL.

Goofy Fan is correct, only beer and wine in grocery stores in Florida. However, several grocery stores (such as Albertson's) have stand-alone liquor stores attached to them (you just go in a separate entrance). Many Walgreen's drug stores to the same thing.

I remember there being an ABC liquor store on Highway 192 - they have everything, not sure of there hours though. Your driver will know were to take you.
