Have used garden grocer in the past and they are awesome. However we enjoy vodka and wanted to add that to our order and they told us beer and wine only. I swear last time we ordered it but who knows :) is there any service that will do that? Sorry if I sound like a lush! Thx

WeGoShop will deliver hard liquor.

Yes in the past Garden Grocery would do hard liquor but not any more. Read the TSA web site and you can see what you are allowed to pack in your checked bags. In 2012 I took 5 one liter bottles 3 in my bag, 2 in wife's bag. Bubble wrapped and in a storage zip lock I pack a copy of our (IDs) just for good measure. sound like a lot of booze we had 4 adults we made 5 shot long Island ice teas,:stir::crazy: 3 evenings on a 10 night trip. One of those would do the trick lot more cost effective than $12.00 to $15.00 drinks.

Contact orlando theme park shoppers and ask. They just did our order for our trip and were great. We did not buy alcohol so I don't know. But they answer email quickly.

We also took our hard liquor in our checked luggage. I just bought plastic bottles at the liquor store and transported them in Ziploc bags just to be safe.

Also not wanting to sound like a lush but want to be sure I have a "drinking plan" that compliments my "touring plan" as well as budget, can anyone confirm that they sell liquor and/or beer to go in the resort gift shops? If you could ball park a price that would be great too. I'm sure they charge a premium just trying to weigh the pros and cons of packing it in my suitcase, paying the delivery charge and minimum order from garden grocer, or paying Disney prices for a drink. Thanks!
Cheers!

Call Josh over at EasyWDW. :drinking1

JK, Josh...you know we dig ya!

They have liquor, beer and wine at all resort gift shops. Yes it is pricier than you think it will be for the most part. We've always had a car so we had no problem buying alcohol at discounted prices offsite. If you want, you could take a bus to Downtown Disney and walk across the street to the Hess station and pick some up cheaper than you would pay in the resorts.

When I was there in 2009, the resort shop did have hard liquor in full size bottles. The only one I remember the price was the fifth of whiskey was $19.95. It was not the premium stuff, but I don't recall exactly what brand. I only remember because my husband wanted to buy it. ;)

They do have beer, wine, and hard liquor available in the resort gift shops. The beer is outrageously marked up, but the liquor is just marginally more expensive. DH bought a bottle of tequila for $20...granted, it was a size smaller than the $20 bottle at home, but still cheaper than buying drinks at the pool bar! I ordered a mango margarita with an extra shot and it was almost $20!

Garden grocer doesn't have any hard liquor to deliever, just beer, wine and coolers/twisted teas & the like

You can find it in the resort gift shop, but it will be pricey. My suggestion? Go over to the hess station near DTD, things are a bit cheaper over there!

Good to know! We drove last time and packed our vodka bottles. Flying this time, so I'm hoping to pack vodka in my luggage.

Just curious...if you do order wine/beer from Garden Grocer...and you're not there to receive the order...how do they check ID? Or does that become the front desk's responsibility to ensure the receiver is >21? Just curious as I opted not to add beer/wine on my order thinking it could be an issue if I wasn't there to receive the order.

I totally packed my vodka in my suitcase last time! I put is in a ziplock bag and then wrapped it in bubble wrap and put it in the middle of my clothes. Worked great!

We ordered beer and wine from Gg last time. I took a picture of my license with my phone and emailed it to them. They delivered the order. No problems

OK it is official I do belong here on the DIS!!

:rotfl2: Haha. I brought my own hard liquor in my suitcase. Wrapped it really good, it was fine. I also bought the little nips for variety. I ordered beer and wine from GG. it all worked out great.
