I hope someone might have an idea for getting liquor to the world :rolleyes1that I haven't already thought of.
To begin, I have to get:

Pop
Pineapple juice
Grenadine
Coconut Rum (any brand)
Bacardi Rum
Captin's Spiced Rum
and a few brands of Beer for our group of 6 adults :thumbsup2.

I'm bringing the pineapple juice & grenadine in my luggage with us from home. We ordered pop to be delivered from garden Grocer with our groceries.

I know there is a Duty Free at the Orlando Airport but since we are coming in at 9:50 in the am, I'm not sure if it will be open yet nor do I know if they even carry the liquors I need :confused3. Anyone know the hours and if they have these types of Rum and beer? I also found a liquor store that will deliver for a fee of $20.00 (cheaper then taking a cab). Any input would be appreciated.

I am shipping a box of things to myself at my resort today, I check in this Saturday (April 18th). In that box will be a bottle of rum & a bottle of whiskey along with food items and some toiletry items that i'll ship and save space in the suitcases. From Utah to Florida on 5 day ground with UPS is $14. It's an option to think about.

Garden Grocer will purchase your alcohol needs along with your other order. We ordered groceries, beer and alcohol on our March trip.

Unless you're flying in International, you will not be able to go to the Duty Free shops. A grocery store stop would be the best way to go for liquors.

We ship also. That way we know we aren't overpaying and we are getting exactly what we want.:drinking1

If you don't mind me asking ... what liquor store did you find that ships? :confused3

Thanks!

You can have Popswine.com ship directly to the room. They are an online liquor seller, and we'll be using them for our adults only trip in September.

On a side note - within the past couple years I managed to get on a plane with alcohol (single shot bottles). I honestly didn't know it was illegal (STUPID, I know!) and I now can't believe I got thru security!

Since you already have an order with Garden Grocer, add your liquor to that. They will deliver beer, wine and hard liquor too. It is VERY convenient. :thumbsup2

I am placing an order with Garden Grocer as well, but I don't see the option to add beer, wine and liquor. Do I need to call them or?
Thanks again!

You can do it one of two ways. You can call them after you have placed your order. Or, right before you submit your order there is a text box that is labeled either Comments or Messages, I can't remember which.

But, you just type in there specifically what you want for liquor. (For eample, one 18 pack of coors light bottles.)

They will call you the day before your delivery date to get payment for the liquor. You can use a credit card, but it will be a seperate payment.

We have used them several times and they are just great. If you're neurotic like me, you can always call them once your order is placed to verifiy that they have everything. I think you will really like this service.

Have fun!

Granted the last time I flew instead of driving was 2007, but I was able to put bottles of liquor in my checked luggage with Delta. Between the 3 adults and one child flying, we had two suitcases containing just food and beverages with extra room for the returning souvenirs.

When I flew back from Jamaica last year through Atlanta, I had 3 bottles of rum cream in my checked luggage. I'm sure customs was aware of it because 1 bottle broke and they came and got me out of security line to show it to me.. They were very kind and helped me straighten it all up before my bag was checked on through.

I always have a couple of bottles in my checked luggage....I don't always get my favorite liquor because I have to have plastic bottles:thumbsup2 I know they've gone through my luggage, I always have a tag left in the suitcase, but my liquor is always still there:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Okay, I'll be the dork to ask WHY? This is OUR first adults trip, so we were just planning on buying drinks while we're there. I take it you make your own? But do you make them, then take them down to the hot tub's with you?:woohoo: Or are they just for your room? You can tell ALL my other trips were with kids, so this wasn't an issue!! ;)

We buy it so that we can have it in our room, for dinners, cocktail hour:banana:, etc. It's nice to not have to order room service for a drink everytime you want one.

Wow- I like your shopping list, can I come with your group (just please get vodka & lemons:laughing:) I would look (just look) into renting a car with all the liquor your looking to get. I was lucky enough to have my cousin be living down there- but this time we are going to get a car for a few days & go to BJ's and some other places (they sell liquor & beer at BJ's I believe) I know that Garden Grocer delivers but not sure if they do alcohol or how much they charge for delivery that's why I say you may be better off getting a car.
