Has anyone taken 'advantage' of the VIP tickets at LION KING. Took DD (6) last year to see BEAUTY but think balcony seats were too far away for her to fully enjoy. Took her earlier this month to see PHANTOM and 3rd row seats completely entranced her.

Husband says bank already broken, why not go VIP but I want to confirm whether it's worth it, relatively speaking, especially w 3y/o DS paying FULL price.

Thoughts about 3 y/o son attending LION KING. 6 y/o daughter angel, son- well had he been born first daughter never would have been born :)

As for the El Capitan, the last two years we did TOY STORY II and DALMATIONS II and we have used both the VIP and proletariat entrances. For me, the reserved seating and popcorn didn't justify the extra cost IF you arrived early enough to line up and rush in to get seats immediately next to the VIP section.

I do have to say one thing with regard to TOY STORY II, whatching it projected DIGITALLY blew us away, the clarity was AMAZING.

I assume it will be MONSTERS INC. at the El Capitan in November?

Thoughts, comments appreciated.

Going 11/17-21 Grand Califonian (Thanksgiving at relatives in Sherman Oaks 11/21-24).

We saw the Lion King in the VIP seats with our 3 year old. First of all this show is definately OK for young children. They even have booster seats for the young ones. Yes, they do usually talk during some of the scenes but believe me you'll hear other kids talking as well (and even some grown ups too).

As for the VIP seats, I thought that they were a little too close. The show has a lot of things going on and all of it isn't on stage, so if you're able to get some orchestra seats that are back about 15 to 25 row (middle preferred), I'd save the money. As for the other VIP perks, I don't think that they're necessarily worth it. You get some preferred parking, but I never figured out where that was. You get an entrance on the side, so that may save you about 2 minutes getting in. You also get a free program for each of your tickets, it's a nice program but I'm not sure that you'd need more than one per family.

Have fun w/ whatever you decide!:)

We did the VIP seats and really loved being close, but we were about 8 rows back on the aisle, so that helped. I liked being on the aisle as so much action goes on there.

We're seeing Lion King again in December with VIP seats -- front row, this time, which may be too close -- and are looking forward to it.

As Mary says, if you can get good orchestra seats without the VIP then go for it, but you really do want to be within the first 20 rows and near the center for the best view, in my opinion.

Enjoy! :)
