Lion King or Mary Poppins??

Hi all

Has anyone seen these shows in London?....not sure which one to see!

We saw Chitty Chitty Bang Bang last summer and we all loved it

My first thought was to see The Lion King as it has had rave reviews....Millie has never been taken with the Lion King BUT she is more into it since she had the Disney double CD for Chritsmas "Hakuna Matata (sp!)" is her fave song and she loves her GBA Lion King game........plus after we have been to AK she may like it even more!

BUT she adores Mary Poppins - goodness knows how many times she has seen this on Video (can you get this on DVD yet?!)....

I didn't even realise Mary Poppins was a stage show...have only just seen this whilst searching for Lion King tickets!

Which would you choose?

OH hard choice!!

I've seen the Lion King and it is great! The costumes are amazing and the music is good too!!

I would love to see Mary Poppins, we were planning on going back to London at Easter and seeing it but have decided to go to Disneyland Paris at New Year so I guess we'll have to wait!!

We saw Chitty Chitty bang Bang in October and it was great!!

....plus there's the Disney Winnie the Pooh stage show (at Bristol in March) and Bambi on ICE!!!

Grrrrrr........now, I wonder if I will win the lottery this weekend

I agree Miffy....but mummy wants to see lion...LOVE the music...but Mille adores MP!

She made me laugh at Christmas when Sound of Music was on.....she said "there's Mary Poppin"......I say "no Millie, that's another film"....she says "I know Mummy!! But she is mary poppins, she has the same voice!!"

She's the same with Bedknobs and Broosticks and Murder She Wrote!

Looks like it will be both ..Plymouth city bus are doing a special (ok, so it's £119 pp!)...

Travel to windsor have a peek about there, then onto London for the Lion King evening show.....nexy day, have some time in London then off to see the matinee for Mary Poppins!

Not too bad really....

Oh by the way acording to amazon.co.uk the DVD of Mary Poppins is out the end of march.
