We saw the Festival of the Lion King this last week and the main actor singing, I forget his name, but he sounded just the same as previous performers. Do they change often? I can’t see them doing that many shows every day....

There are multiple cast members per role at any given time.
The CMs are in the performers' union (Actor’s Equity Association) and have very specific working hours rules.

The performers are specifically cast to have similar styles (to fit each of the four roles.)

Some of the performers will keep their roles for years.
