Linking tickets to MDE from third party seller

I'm thinking about purchasing tickets from an authorized Disney ticket seller who is cheaper than UT. Now, the cost to ship the tickets is $20 or free pick-up (meaning a minimum $25 cab ride). I asked the company if they were able to fax me the back of the tickets so I can link up to MDE prior so I can book FPs. She said she couldn't fax them but that she could send me the ID numbers to link to MDE.

I then asked if it would even be necessary to pick up the tickets since they'll already be linked and her answer was a little uncertain. She said I'd still need the tickets to go through the front gate. Is this true? Will I need the hard tickets even if it's linked to MDE?

Any insight would be appreciated. TIA!

You don't need the hard tickets but it's always a good idea to have them on hand. In May my Gammy's AP kept unlinking itself from her MB and without her hard AP she would have been directed to a ticketing window instead of being able to enter the park. Glitches happen.

Thank you. That's what I thought. I bought tickets off Orbitz for our last trip and never had to pick up our tickets - they were able to send me the code. However, this is a different company and the lady didn't sound too sure (or she just wants me to pay the $20 shipping fee).

If Orbitz doesn't do another deal from now until November I may go with this company and take my chances. Worst case scenario is I have to take a cab and pick up the tickets which it would end up being about the same price as UT.
