We have tickets from UT, staying at GF, have had many magicbands in the past but have deactivated all of them except the set (5 of us) we are using for our trip in August. When I go to link the tickets, my children's name come up more then once and there is no way for me to know which name has the active magicband. If I just hit on their name, I could be hitting onto the name that has an inactive magicband and the ticket(s) won't be linked. I have always had a problem with their names coming up numerous times in our party, exact same person/name listed multiple times. Does it matter that there are numerous same names? Just don't want to link a ticket and it not be on the magicband. Anyway to check? Should I just print the tickets and link when I get to GF. I definitely don't want an issue at the gate! Thanks for any help!

You might need to get Disney IT to merge the duplicates together so that there is only one profile per child.

If you can figure out which profile is which, set the avatar for the profile with the MagicBand you want to use to something unique. Maybe tweek the name for each profile to (temporarily) include a number so you can tell them apart.

Thank you great idea! I linked two tickets not realizing this issue. One linked and the other MNSSHP ticket, I do not see on our account. Can I transfer it over after changing the profile to the correct magicband? Thanks for your help!

Call. We had a very complicated issue last year with our BFT (Big Family Trip), several family members had multiple profiles and it also made a difference which profile was on the resort reservation. It took a long time on the phone but in the end we got everyone down to one profile and all reservations and MBs linked correctly.

The Tickets & Passes section of MDE should display all tickets that you've linked to your account. For any ticket that is unused, there should be an option to reassign that ticket.

Thank you so much! I followed your advice and was able to modify the names on my family members so I knew it was from an old magicband/visit and assign our tickets including changing the one that I assigned to the wrong magicband. Thanks so much for your help! You saved me a long time on the phone! Appreciate it!

Just FYI… there is no need to deactivate all prior MBs, they will still work at least for park entry and G+\LL. Also, tickets are linked to a profile not directly to a specific MB.

No need to have multiple profiles for anyone. I agree with above about contacting WDW IT to get those merged and prevent future problems.
