Linking tickets to Magic bands??

Sorry for what is probably a newbie question but this will be my first trip back since magic bands have come on line. Ya, I know it has been way to long. At any rate, I've ordered e-tickets from Undercover Tourist so do I just need to link those tickets to my bands in my account? Does it matter that I don't have my physical bands yet? Thanks.

Nothing is ever linked to a band. You'll type in your ticket number into your mde and you're all set.

Tickets aren't put into a band.. Which is why you can use multiple bands

You just enter the ticket numbers into the MDE account. The band will also link to your MDE account once it's either sent or you customize it. Not sure which. The bands are just a way to acces whatever is in your MDE account. There is nothing "on" them except their id number.

I think you'll need the band. It has been several years since I linked mine, but if I remember correctly, each band has an ID that needs added to your My Disney Experience account.

If your bands are already linked to your MDX account, no problems. Just link your ticket to your account and go.

If you dont' have linked bands, link the ticket and it should work as soon as you link the bands. If you're getting the bands for a resort stay they will be automatically linked to your account.

Use your ticket number to link your ticket to MDE.
Use the number on the band (or if you have a room already booked you technically already have a band linked) to link your band to MDE.
Everything is linked to MDE and the band just accesses the info.

I think you'll need the band. It has been several years since I linked mine, but if I remember correctly, each band has an ID that needs added to your My Disney Experience account.

If they are buying bands once there or from Disney store, then they’ll have to link those to MDE.

If they are staying onsite their bands will be created and already linked to MDE, so they'll access MDE and grab the ticket associated with the band’s profile automatically, and it’ll work without doing any band-linking.
