Hello

We will be taking our second Disney Cruise in the Summer 2020. Friends of our have just booked onto the same cruise and we would like to be seated together for dining.
What is the best way to go about this?

Do we just need to link our reservations using the 'Add Reservations' button on the Disney Cruise Website?
Or is there something else we need to do?

As we will be able to check in a few days before our friends will linking the reservations mean both families will need to wait until the later check in date?
Is it better to wait until after check in to link the reservations?

Thanks

You (both) need to contact DCL with the reservation numbers to link them. If you (or your friends) used a TA, they will be the ones that must do this.

No, each reservation will do their own online check in/excursion bookings at when their particular booking window opens. Unless you want to book both parties at the same time for the same excursions. In that case, you'll have to wait until the later window to open.

Thanks that's great!
We both booked directly with Disney (us by phone as we used a placeholder from last time and our friends booked on the DCL website) so will give them a call tomorrow.

If you just want to link for dining, you need to call DCL. If you don't mind that the reservations are fully linked (you can look at the other reservation, book things for both rooms - once their booking window opens, etc.), you don't need to call, just use the "Add Reservation" button and have their reservation # and a birthdate for one of the guests on that reservation.

Hi,

If you call Disney to link your reservations, you will need the two reservation numbers. When you call, they will probably ask you to confirm the names on your friends' reservation for security reasons.

I linked two reservations together because we were cruising with our family friends in 2016. It was an easy process to request that we all ate at the same table. We also had the best servers on the Disney Wonder, Melwin from India and Miguel from Portugal.

Have fun on your cruise with your friends!
