Can anyone tell me how maingate guest passes work on MDE for fastpasses? My DD is a disney store CM and we are going to be at the world next week and would like to use her(she is going to be there with us) maingate guestpasses(not comp tickets) for my DH, DS, and other DD.
Also are the guestpasses given after they enter the parks? Are they considered hoppers?
She has asked around at the store but most either haven't been or they never linked them.

Thanks for the help!

Main Gate Guest Passes are linked to the CM's MDE and only the CM has access to them to book FPs.

The CM should have 3 Guest Passes in her possession - at least WDW CMs have theirs.

I'm not a CM, but I believe she needs to request her set of Guest Passes here if she does not already have them:
http://www.disneyurl.com/mep
(as stated by hiroMYhero, WDW CMs are given these by default; non-FL CMs have to request them but their initial set is free I believe)

Make sure her MEP is tied to her MDE profile (via this page https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/profile/affiliations/edit/ ), and then her Guest Passes should show up on her account as well.

Some more info on linking MEP/Guest Passes and MDE can be found here:
https://disneyretiree.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/9/2014/11/HowTo-WDW-Comprehensive_final-4-p4.pdf

From what I've researched (i'm travelling with a CM friend next year), only the CM will be able to book fastpasses for their Guest Passes.

If I log in to MDE, I just see myself plus my Family & Friends (incl. the CM).
If my CM friend logs into MDE, he sees himself, his Family & Friends, and his Guest Passes.

Once my maingate was linked to MDE the guest passes show up as GP 1, 2 & 3 (only with the real numbers on my three guest passes). The CM can manage the fast passes. NEVER link the guest passes to a magic band as it will mess it up for future use.

Instructions (how to information) for booking FP's with MEP (Main Entrance Pass) & Guest passes is available on the HUB. CM can log in and access that info. Guest passes should already be in her possession as they should have come with the MEP. If not, it is too late to have them mailed (takes 2 to 3 weeks) and the CM would have to go to Cast Ticketing on the 8th flr at Celebration to get them. Call first to see if this is possible for TDS cast. PM me for the # if necessary.

Does this mean you can Park hop without the CM being there after they have signed you in when you first enter?
No. Guests who are not the CM’s immediate family must be accompanied by the guest when park hopping.

“No particular order” means when hopping, the CM doesn’t have to enter through the touch point as the first member of the party - the CM can enter in any order with the guests using the guest passes.

It sounds like they are immediate family, a mom, dad, and three kids. Anyway the system will let you park hop without the cm, policy states that this should only be done with immediate family. Our daughter is a cm. We park hop without her all the time after she enters before us in the morning and tours with us before she has to go to work in the afternoon.

Keep in mind that not only does the cm have to make the FP+, they are the only one who can modify them in their MDE as well. We have heard of people using the guest passes at kiosks to make FP+ however. I have not needed to try that.

The poster, Kyna87, hasn’t stated she’s a family member. The OP in this 2016 thread was entering with a CM family member.

Closing this thread as it began two years ago.
