Linking Hotwire Reservation to MDE

I've booked a room with Wyndham Lake Buena Vista (couldn't justify onsite prices for value this time around) through Hotwire. I've contacted the hotel and received their confirmation number, but when I try to add to MDE it asks me to update guest names for two adults and two kids. I'm only traveling with my partner, and not sure how to get past adding guest names for children. I checked with the hotel again and they say they only have two adults on the booking on their end. Any ideas?

I was thinking I could make a couple of dummy guests (maybe our fur babies, ha!) but then I don't want that messing with our ability to make dining reservations or ROTR boarding passes.

I too have a reservation for Wyndham Lake Buena Vista and it also piped four guests to MDE even though I am traveling solo. I added literally Tom, Dick and Harry to fill in the other three guest spots. If you get a dinner reservation for two, you only need yourself and one other name from your party to complete it. The fake names are available for use but not required to be used on any other reservation.

Thanks for the response. I'm still a little concerned about booking ROTR, and if I get a minute I might call Disney and see if they can fix it in the back end.

Having "extra people" on the hotel reservation won't make a bit of difference in getting a BG for RotR. For BGs the only thing that matters is whether someone has a ticket and a park pass reservation for DHS that day and if they're listed in your F&F in MDE. If you list made-up names on your hotel reservation, of course you're not going to list them in your F&F in MDE, so the system won't even know they exist when you're trying to get a BG.

I think you missed the point. The only way to add the booking to MDE is if I list these made up names as F&F.

But, you're probably right on the park pass - obv they won't have these, so shouldn't show up in the BG.

Exactly. No tickets, no park passes = no BG. They won’t even show up as part of your party when booking the BG. BTW the process changed a bit in the past week. Now you need to open the VQ section of MDE and “confirm your party” within the hour before booking a BG, e.g. before 7 AM and 1 PM. That will also help if you have extra people in you F&F list.
